"We need to move on from Loftus Road if we are to sustain a top-flight football club and Old Oak Common is the only realistic place for us to move. (It is) close to our fans and our roots, with great transport links, and the opportunity to be at the heart of the most exciting new development in west London for years.

We are delighted that so many of our fans and members of the local community share our vision for the future of both QPR and Old Oak. This is only the first stage of consultation and we will continue to work with the community as we develop our plans in more detail.

Old Oak is the biggest regeneration since the Olympics and we have a responsibility to future generations to get it right. We need a comprehensive planned approach with a stadium as its beating heart, led by a football club with a stronger interest in the local community than any other kind of business."

My question is did Car Giant have these plans in place before we wanted to buy the land, or did we give them the idea?

300+ acres, enough for all concerned? I think we will get WF and OOC! The club will be unreconisable in 10 yrs time.
      Kept the faith!

Is TF hoping he gets a CPO or that Car Giant give in and sell up?
I should probably write something insightful here

The way I understand it is both parties submit their plans and proposals and a CPO could be granted to QPR if the GLA commission deem their proposal as the preferred choice.

How can it be granted to QPR if they don't own the land?

You make make them sell something they own, in this case they should charge what they want.

I dont think its quite as simple as that. This is the reason why you have CPO's when there is large areas of unused land involved such as this and where much of it will be used for housing, jobs, transport, public recreation etc. Perhaps there's other factors as well such as whether the land is freehold or if its leasehold, when the lease expires etc...
