Reading that has just got me thinking, the change in our form was it Harry or something else?

This is not a Harry bashing post, I'd like to know what everyone's view is?

I don't think it is was the lack of fitness like we were told, I think it was the bashing from the two televised games that were on SKY, they really were finding faults all over the pitch and put us down. I believe it was a kick up the back side and woke everyone up including Harry and the players. I could be wrong? It may have been that Glen's coaching may have just started to work, what are your thoughts?

No ones perfect including Harry, sometimes it is as simple as playing a player in a better suited position.

Probably, partly due to Hoddle; It surely was a key factor that Yun was given a chance. Also; Bobby Zamora has given Charlie and the rest of the team a boost. The fact that Isla and Vargas are playing so well together has also lifted the team as a unit. Short term Karl Henry indeed is proving his class.
A key factor could also be that Steve Black has returned. All in all, great to see that Rednapp has left the dug out and now seems very motivated. Waveing his arms and etc. Great!!

I think there are numerous factors on why we were so bad. I think this can be debated until the cows come home, but I think a lot of it has to deal with squad harmony. I am not fully defending Harry, but with 12 players coming into camp, and the World Cup, it changes things. Plus I am happy that Rio is not in the starting 11.

When you come to think about it, at least in my opinion, we really didn't start signing anyone until after the World Cup. We brought in so many starting players that it can just take weeks upon weeks for them to get familiar with each other and I think we are starting to see that now. I have tried to stay away from this debate because many fans have been so upset what has been going on and I don't blame them one bit. Those games against Man United, Spurs, and West Ham were embarrassing. I think there were other factors and maybe that Liverpool game were Harry went off during the press conference woke them up.

One last thing on squad harmony. I follow a few other sports over here. I am a big fan of hockey, baseball, and American football. Hockey's offseason can be pretty similar to football because it's short. The playoffs don't end until June and the players report to training camp in August. The difference with sports over here is that the squads are usually set before training camps open. The off season moves start immediately after the playoffs are over with and are done before the season starts. It can be hard to bring someone in and have them fit right away, let alone 10 players.

i think his motto is to surround himself with as many coaches as possible and hope that one will get it right for him.

I seem to remember Bale at one point being linked with us as not working out at Spurs (can't remember if loan of permanent). Only media talk but maybe backs claims up a bit. Was being played at left back at the time.

As for recent change in form both players and 'Arry well and truly bashed by media and fans, maybe woke them up a bit. I suspect Hoddle has had some influence as well on the training pitch.

i grant you that he said Harry gave him a kick up the a rse but that is about all he said.
