Wasn't the loft closed though? I thought it was when they were revamping that end. Funny to think that we had the most modern ground in the country soon after.

        Not a bad start.

You should be able to recall all the details then.

2 memories of that game mate
          1) The smiley/sad faces in the programme next to our results
          2) the awful hooped bobble hat my Gran had knitted which the Oldham fans took the pish out of on the way back to the car after the game. Sure it was Goddard and Clive upfront ?!?!

I went in School End for last game against Citeh. Absolutely rammed with tourists and day-trippers. A few hundred stayed on concourse all match cos it was pee'ing down. Pockets of regular fans like me dotted around trying to get a bit of atmos' going but it was predominantly "prawn sandwich-y". Shame, think it could get quite noisy in there and intimidate the away goalie if we got a few rowdies in there.
I was sat in back and could not hear away fans above at all.... wouldn't have known they were there; presume that's just an acoustic dead-spot. Can't say I noticed anything being dropped from above either.

Sat in every part of the ground untold times except that bit, would just feel wrong to me watching us from a complete different angle/viewpoint, thats my problem.

But Kevin surely if you sit in the Ellerslie or SAR or LR stands they all give you a different view point! My only issue is the legroom in all of the stands

i have sat in there a few times over the last couple of seasons, if it rains you get wet if you are 5 rows from the back onwards. view is obviously just the same as the lower loft and the atmos is not to bad. You normally get a few away fans spitting and dropping things on the home fans that normally causes a few exciting crowd moments!

Couldn't agree more big fella and sometimes it's not always about being cheaper as it can be availability.... I've been in there and seen some fantastic goals and have never seen or heard of anything too repulsive from the away fans..

Sat there twice last season v bournemouth and bolton when the club had the tenner deal , it's fairly decent if your a about row f or more back jams you are under the top tier so out the way although I never saw anything chucked down, it's true you cannot hear the away fans at all and when I saw the goals on sky nes from bournemouth game I was amazed that top tier was packed as never heard a thing. Also sat there for what I think was our first game on the plastic v Luton and we lost !! Also top tier then never had a roof !!!
