That's all well and good but why pay anything at all?

"last week’s changes to the Championship’s rules were effectively an acknowledgment that the existing regulations are not fit for purpose".

If the regulations are not fit for purpose, how the hell can they be applied to levy any sanctions

Shouldnt the question be why should we be allowed to get promotion by cheating financially and go un-punished financially, id be ####en livered if i supported one of those other teams in the play off's.

We owe the money, WE KNEW THE RULES WE WERE PLAYING UNDER, we dont get to pick and choose what laws we agree with, football clubs dont either.

We bought promotion, now its time to pay the fees, and tony et al knew the under-lying cost of the fees involved.

Point is any club coming down from the PL won't be able to abide by the FFP laws. We dumped loads of players and loads of money off the wage-bill, but when you're left with contracted trash that you cant shift what are you to do?

We signed Championship class players, let most if not all the PL class players leave (ones that we wanted by other clubs at least)... What else couldve been done? Yeh we might not of signed Austin and Philips but thats small change to what we owe and the tip of the iceberg to the savings we made by dumping and loaning out players.

The FA really need to get a handle on the situation. FFP is complete ######## and everyone knows it.

Excuses for bad management operating in an inadequate system, is no excuse, altho one can sympathise, and as a fan one can even hope for a loop hole to escape punishment, and the 50 mill is spent on the club instead, but that doesnt make rangers escaping sanction ok.

The management flouted the rules, they should pay.

I hope they wriggle off the hook, but im biased.

There is no way Champ clubs can survive the move to the PL by paying Championship transfer fees and wages. The gap is far too big.

FFP only helps the big clubs, it does nothing for smaller clubs or clubs that aspire to better themselves. Its unfair and imo un-enforceable.

                    Loophole?!

FFP is illegal in European law - ergo it was effectively a gentlemens agreement....... and they've since renegaded on it - as described in the above article.

Any lawyer worth his salt would take the FL to the cleaners if they even attempted to harm a business by limiting the right to investment and improvement...... whilst having to contend with massive shifts in potential running costs from year to year.

The whole thing was a bunch of righteous old blokes giving each other a reach around - whilst looking at an excel spreadsheet.

Lol. Can you imagine it? "Hello Mr FL man. I'm a lawyer who is part of the team that represents Mr Fernandes and Mr Mittal. How would you like to pay? Cash or cheque?"

The FL would be bankrupt in about 10 min flat...........

Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
