If anyone in authority at the club reads this forum.................
I have too long a memory, as a consequence i have zero respect for him, i know for most playing well for a couple of games is all sins forgiven, they quickly forget how much of a millstone he as been.
Absolutely, with a name like manx hoop, can I assume his vnedetta against him is more to do with geographical issues than anything else? Or perhaps it is the fact that when Manx was a utd fan, he hated city players?
"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane
Nowadays it's if the player wants to leave most clubs will put up a bit of a fight to appease the supporters and then say we don't want an unhappy player at the club
I think that Charlie will only be sold if he decides he wants to go - which is pretty much the same thing as saying "if a big club comes in for him".
I don't think we would sell him for the money as it would likely end in relegation and that would not be good business. But at the end of the day, football contracts only work one way - the club cannot hold onto a player who wants to leave.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Think you'll find its a reference to the Isle of Man rather than Manchester mate.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
We havent sold a player for profit since tf got here have we? We are not a selling club, and im certain he wouldnt be sold for any price.
Have we sold a player for a profit since...Danny Shittu to Watford eight years ago? And Peter Crouch before him, thirteen years ago.
Genuine question. Discounting any weirdness over Chris Samba.
Aside from Shittu I don't think we've sold a player to a Premier League club for a fee since Trevor Sinclair. That could well be the single most damning statistic from the past 20 years of QPR mismanagement.
(Routledge and Crouch were both sold to Championship clubs at the time.)

Didn't Remy go for £10.5m? Plus we got £2m off Newcastle for last season's loan.

Yep good point, Remy. But taking a punt on a current French international by offering him lots of cash and a tasty release clause isn't exactly the fabled 'buy cheap lower league youngsters, sell them for profit' model I had in mind!

considering your own question was- "have we sold any player for profit since Danny Shittu" I'd say Remy was a good example. Along with other suggested names (Stirling and Simpson).... Anyway players like Austin, Yun, Caulker, Isla, Vargas, Fer all have the possibility of being sold on for a profit. So maybe we've learnt from past mistakes like signing the big names.... maybe just maybe Geng life at QPR at the moment isnt is bad as you would have hoped.
