I thought that he lost the ball, people groaned, then he gestured, then people booed at the gesturing, then after that people clapped every time he tried something.

He certainly should have passed, and to be honest he plays like that whatever the score, so I don't especially buy the 'we were 5-2 up' thing.

I think he will be an amazing player, he has sop much ability. HIs control is awesome, he has so much strength, he maybe needs a little more composure in front of goal and also needs a little more awareness of possible team-mates in better positions. But he is so exciting to watch. Probably an arm around him rather than booing, but as I said, I genuinely think the booing was in response to his gesturing (that doesn't excuse either).

I hope after a night's sleep he can calm down and realise that he does need to imprive that area of his game, but at the same time realise that the fans love how exciting he can be.

Pete he was doing it before we went 5-2 up, one of the times he had both simpson and zacky open but tried to shoot through 3 players, this was b efore simpson scored because simpson went of directly after that.

dont agree with the booing but i can sort of understand the reaction after his gesture which was because people were calling him to pass

He does have a greedy streak in him, but as a professional footballer, in front of goal, with 2 defenders backing off him and a goalkeeper who could'nt catch a cold, he probably fancied his chances more than passing to Buzz who although in space, was further wide, with a narrower angle.
That said, for every 5 shots he has, only 1 ever seems on target. Today, his 1st. The rest missed the goal by a murder mile. Bit of an Andy Cole shooting wise ! (Obviously more skillful/talented otherwise)

His hand waving and petulance at the final whistle won't help endear him to the fans, he probably doesn't care about that though. I doubt he considers us a full time proposition.

To be fair to him, subsequent times on the ball, he did try passing on most other occasions, in fact, the only time I recall he didn't, was when he was fouled / bundled over and the ref failed to give the foul.
Most fans appluaded him on each of these occasions, although maybe that was in sarcasm ?

Good call by someone, it is Majilton & Gorman's job to get the best out of Adel. He seems to have learnt to fall to the ground less than last season. He needs to know when to go for goal and when to pass if others are better placed. I guess at 5-2 he has a case for going it alone. Buzz did it at 2-0 !

I know what you're saying but we were 5-2 up with 5 minutes left to play and he had come on as a sub.......You'd want a bit of the ball in that scenario.....It doesn't make it right but there's nothing wrong with it.....We want our players to be able to take chances/gambles etc....If the supporters turn on the players, we'll end up with 11 players just trying not to make mistakes rather than 11 players playing creatively as an opposing unit. Support the team or walk! Empty seats are better than seats full of muppets!

Stedders, I was arguing with many of those who booed, NONE of them mentioned any gesture, they were all moaning about him not passing.
YES he should have passed, but he is 19 and still learning the game and people SHOULD NOT be booing him.

Taarabt is still 19 years old! he is still learning things people should not be so harsh with players of that age. he has a good peronality and very self confident and doeant fear any team.
when I watched his interview in french media, he explained why he plays for QPR ! and just because the fans has welcomed him last season and he felt in love with the club and he said he wanted to continue with QPR after loan. some fans should be aware of the mentalities of north africans, they are very emotional and they can give up many things and give up fortune for people they love. he always proud to play for QPR, its a pity that some fans doeant understand french they would know how much he is attached to this club. his love for the club like his teamate -in natinal team- Zemama with hibernian.
I can understand his feeling, he felt that some fans left him down and betrayed him. and of course he will hear from other side words like " those are the people whom you talked about? those who you said that they love you?"
fans should respect his age and his wiling to impress, all players in his age have this energy and will to do manything at once and in short time... which lead sometime to counter-effect..
C. Ronaldo , Zairi etc.. were the most greedy dribblers they passed the ball untill your vein will be broken from shouting "PASSSS the BALLL!" .. look at them now , they learned that football is team game, so Taarabt will understand that and I am sure he will be a world class player.
he is an international player now so he will be learning things fast, just be patient on him for a while. when he play enough matches, he will get tired of dribbling and he will realise that the best option is keep it simple. thats the way it is in football with talented youngsters.

Pete I am 100% behind you on the Terrorbat. At 5-2 up I want to see flair players try their stuff as that is the time for em to try.
Just taking a different angled thought ( an not my personal feelings ) maybe it is because he isn't a full fledged QPR player just a loanee and there for practising flair at the teams expense to benift someone else aint veiwed too kindly?
I have never been one to have a pop at any youngster, I would rather see them try and learn and I really hope this dosn't put him off. He does need to learn that if your going to be flash, if it dont come off people will coat you, if it does then they will scream your name from the rafters. Either way though there is no excusses to boo.
I hope he has the strength of charicter to brush it off and get back out there and try again.

Regarding Adel,I am a bit dissapointed he is willing to chuck it in at one moment's frustration from the fans.If other's had that attitude then we would had got shot of player's like Helgusson,Ramage,Mahon etc. a long time ago.

Yes he is young,but surely intelligent enough to understand that fans emotion's run high during a game and their opinion's of player's change like the wind.

The Arsenal fan's treatment of Eboue is a prime example.

When he said he wanted 15 goals this year i didn't realise he hoped to get them in on game!!

He is one of the most frustrating players we have had at loftus road,unbelieveable skill but soooo selfish. he should be applauded for trying that kind of stuff when we have already scored 4 but he needs to be sat down with the video of todays yesterdays game and shown how many times he had an unmarked teammate.

i think the other players get frustrated with him , there were a couple of times when buzz refused to pass to him.

We should never boo our own , especially for trying something a bit special.

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Vine may not have turned up today yet he got a standing ovation when he walked off. NOt having a go at Vine, but just pointing out that he had an off day at the office yet still got applauded.

It is players like Adel that I pay my money to watch. He gets you on the edge of your seat but on the flip side, it won't always come off.
