I couldn't really ask him too many questions, as you could see the kid was upset. He wanted to impress, we were 5-2 up and he simply could not understand the booing. He feels that he came back to the club becasue he felt "wanted" despite offers from other clubs in Europe which he turned down because he fell in love with the club and the supporters
Lets not spoil it for him, because another booing session, I am sure he will leave. We should not push any player out of the club, especially such a talented one. its up to the manager to curb his natural tendency to beat several players with his great touches and turns, without always passing to a team-mate.
We cannot keep craving these type of players, then turn on them. Its very sad. Have to say, that the applauds at the end indicated what the majority felt, but it was a little too late. He was really upset and winning 5-2 he simply wanted to make an impact.
The Players were not overly happy at winning 5-2 at the fans because of this incident and that is a real shame. Surely, we need to be behind them. If we act like this when we win games, we really have no hope of any future success.
