Could prove to be the best player we have seen in 20 years at Loftus Road if Magilton can just get him to work more in line with the team.
As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Vine may not have turned up today yet he got a standing ovation when he walked off. NOt having a go at Vine, but just pointing out that he had an off day at the office yet still got applauded.
It is players like Adel that I pay my money to watch. He gets you on the edge of your seat but on the flip side, it won't always come off.
THink the fans should issues an official apology. I put Finney forward. Can someone call SKY, BBC etc.
as it goes i think u seem to do a very good job of impersonating finney
Going back to what I said a little earlier in the thread, booing is completely wrong, but I certainly groaned to myself when he didn't pass the ball to a team-mate in a brilliant position on a hatrick. I didn't pre-meditate the groan, I was just disappointed that he does seem to be too selfish at times. His gesturing in reply to peoples' reaction to that was the wrong thing to do, although I like a bit of passion from players, and the booing was even worse.
He is extremely talented, a young lad wanting to make an impression and who obviously loves the ball at his feet (a tremendous quality). After the booing happened many many fans (including myself) clapped him at every opportunity. Sometimes us fans aren't perfect either. So yeah, booing is way out of line, and anyone who did that was being a thoughtless foooooooool. Equally though, Adel does need to look at his game and be honest with himself. He is too greedy and that is regardless of the score. He is like that at 0-0 sometimes, and as long as he is open to constructive criticism from his coaches etc then he is going to be a world class player and good luck to him.
I think groaning is ok as it is a natural reaction. To boo, you have to think first and I think that some of our fans are unable to think unfortunately.
How much money will he make before he doesn't get upset at the booing? He is a selfish c*** who couldn't give a f*** about the rest of the team. He must be retarded if he still hasn't got the message that he needs to pass more. He's not playing in the school playground anymore. If footballers need to be intelligent then we've got an amoeba.
He's a greedy sod, but a very tallented young player who this club are very fortunate to have. He's young and hungry and wants to do well. The passing will come as he learns his trade and sharpens up his game. I see some say he gets paid a fortune so should be able to take the critticism? Well that's rubbish as he's just 19. Can you imagine how daunting it is for such a young lad to have a load of id1ots berrate you?
On a FACTual basis, the booing only came AFTER the repeated gestures to the Loft. The lad needs to grow up. If he does walk now, its no great loss IMHO.
The booing itself seemed to come from a few in the Upper Loft and at the time I felt like steaming in and knocking a few heads together. Clearly the lad has talent, but booing one of your own in those circumstances was hard to take.
The lad has potential, and he did seem to learn and start passing after the boos. He could be another Wegerle/Bowles, but he could be the eternal journeyman and always "someone elses player".
I thought Vine was terrible today, and was glad Adel came on. But despite Adel having the ability to beat 3/4 players, he needs to get his head up and learn to pass. He certainly needs to work on his shooting too. Hopefully Gorman will take him to one side and start teaching him some home truths. If he listens he could be amazing.
Sad that after such a good game, our bitching and in-fighting is dominating the debate.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."
first of all i wasn't at the game so i can't really comment on the "facts"
but, ffs people we are talking about a international player here, not a kid out of nappies (mind you, they way some of you want to wrap him up in cotton wool, it wouldn't surprise me)
right, without doubt it is totally bang out of order to Boo anyone who wears the hooped shirt, so lets put that straight for starters, as for "we were 5-2 up" his words, how about all the other games he's played in, i can remember a number of times this season (admittedly at home) where we have drawn our first 3 games and the home crowd "begging" for a goal when he has done the exact same thing, so all this "we were 5-2 up" bollx, doesn't wash with me.
there's no doubt whatsoever, that the guy is very talented player, that goes without saying, but he is a very selfish player, a player who only thinks about his game, and #### everyone else.
of course we are lucky to have him on our books, but, he must learn it's not all about him, and he must learn PDQ because what if, we need a pass up at N'castle & he goes "alone" and we miss out on ANOTHER point (or maybe 3) because of his selfish play, what will the 1500 or so who have travelled up to the north east say, oh well he is a very talented player tho
the bottom line is, no one should every Boo one of our own, but FFS the guy is a grown man, he doesn't need protecting from the "easily fooled"
On a FACTual basis, the booing only came AFTER the repeated gestures to the Loft.
Clunge, the booing was what caused the "gesture" - I was arguing with many who were booing, there was NO mention of any gesture from any of them, they were moaning about his failure to pass the ball.
The rest of your points, fair enough.
I was so ****ed off with the fans for booing Tarrabt, it was ridiculous and tainted the result. I hope we learn from this and it doesn't happen again. We're our own worst enemy sometimes..
I think the booing from some came from sheer frustration over a few games with him. I have been at all the games so far and in the games where we have drawn there have been moments when he coudl have passed and we might have won the game. The man has a great talent but he needs to know when to pass. A simple pass can be more effective than 50 step overs and get no where.
Interestingly we are starting to play better and getting results without him in the side.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
If I'd done something wrong yes I'd accept it. Hopefully learn from it and become better as a result of it. As someone on dotorg said:
If he does not want to play for us again then frankly that would make him pretty spineless. He needs to get his head together and prove people wrong. I also believe he was booed as a result of his gesture after the groaning.
and another one:
Now back in his native Morrocco he may be idolised but before he moves on that journey from good player to great player he is going to have to learn to be a team player. I have been to eah of the last three games where Rangers have played most of the time without him and I believe it is no coincidence that our performances and results have improved. Would he have supplied that pass that Vine did for Simpson for his first goal against Cardiff? I doubt it. Vine is far better player at the moment because he plays for the team.
All this namby pamby about people saying that 'when the kid can't try tricks when we are 3 goals ahead when can he!' Get real, he has been doing it all season and as a consequence we have no scored many when he is on the pitch.
He also is earning a lot of money, probably more per week than many posters on this board will earn in a year. Diddums, I would be more than happy to take a bit of stick now and again for that sort of wedge! Instead he ought to understand why the crowd did get on his back and educate himself that the best footballers ever produced did the simple things most of the time with only the occasional flash of brilliance. Until then, for me he can continue to keep the bench warm and if he does not like that then he can ****** off back to Spuds for all I care. Just remember currently QPR are a better side without him.
And if I was honest if I had to sign one of the loanees I would take Watson, Simpson and Heaton well before him.
Best post by a country mile.
Buzz had a simple chance to get a hatrick and you could see buzz was livid and I don't blame him. Deserved a hatrick today and just a shame adel was thinking he could perform a 1 man show. If there was still that puddle from the flooding I think he may of even tried walking on that water.
