Journalists can make up whatever the fvck they like, its their job to make up stories to sell articles.
If you 'trust' journos then I would seriously re-think what type of people you put your trust in.
I don't believe everything that's printed at all, I'm constantly on here pointing out that some tabloid transfer rumour or story on caughtoffside etc is likely to be nonsense. But I can make a pretty educated guess as to what is and isn't worth listening to. I appreciate this stuff is hard for the layman to figure out but basically if you think all stories are "made up" you need to read a bit more than just the tabloids.

Remind me what article/paper Katie Hind was selling here? She put a direct quote up on her twitter. Not sure why that'd be worth burning what reputation she has.

There's a bit more to journalism than chasing scoops on minor celebs for the Sun, you know.

It's weird how many people who are sceptical of this quote want to believe Harry Redknapp. This is a man who said, in court, that he could barely read and write and that his dog does his accounts. If he spouts that much bllocks under oath imagine how low his standards are on Talksport.

But your the one that has been banging on, if memory serves me right, to ignore all stories that come out about Adel wanting to leave even when he is quoted saying to ignore the stories there taken out of context now your telling us to believe the stories from the rags

          Im baffled

You're confusing a whole bunch of different issues here. Of course Adel wants to leave for AC Milan or Real Madrid or whatever, we've known that for years. I'm hardly about to deny that. I wouldn't want to be as talented as him and play for our fans either.

If it's a "direct quote" then Adel would have said it. Especially if it was on a proper site, ie a newspaper or an established website with proper journalists like ESPN. If some random blog you've never heard of uses a direct quote without linking to the original source, be suspicious.

Occasionally translation means quotes should be taken with a pinch of salt. The 'I wasted two years at QPR' quote is an example of this, I think it was translated from the original French (and in any case was still fairly innocuous).

You make my point perfectly with your response so thank you nothing more to be said
