like someone else said, after that inept performance at West Ham, there must have been a serious discussion, at board and playing level. May have been a blessing in disguise
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Must disagree with you on this occasion Jane as its about getting points on the board early which means if we have a bad run later on there is some sort of cushion. If we have a bad run lets say in the new year then that is going to be compounded by the shocking start to the season. For me the way we wasted the first four away games we have in theory turned a 38 games season into a 34 game season as we never bothered turning up for four games

          Anyway no worries as I've no barber bills / shampoo / conditioner / combs or brushes to pay for in the last 15 years & if I'm in a rush to get out a quick wipe of the flannel over me napper & I'm good to go ;-}

As for what Westie says, it's true !
Why have we been set up to play the way we have for the majority of HR's games (bar McClarens involvement) .......
A number of us were moaning about the negative style in the Championship only to get shouted down week in week out as people were happy with a lucky 1-0 win as it meant 3 points ...... Therefore maintaining our (false as it turned out) place at the top of the league.

Someone has had a 'word' with him ......

Maybe Hoddle is having some influence ?

Maybe Uncle T threatened to kidnap Rosie ?

Maybe Ted popped over to Sandbanks & smashed up his bathroom ?

Maybe the players have just 'gelled' ?

BUT the scary thing was HR's post match interview for the Liverpool game, when he said that was the best performance he's seen in his 2 years in charge .......
He genuinely looked shocked, as if he didn't know how he did it .

Anyway whatever it is that has changed lets hope it continues long into the future .

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

The reason why people were happy with boring 1-0 wins last season was simply because last season was all about picking up points no matter what. We weren't building for the future. That was made perfectly clear from TF before that season had even started when he came out and said we need to get promoted know matter what... And HR followed suit by the signings he made. All experienced signings who all/most new how to hold games up and play out a 1 goal lead.

As for this season, up until the W.Ham game we've been mainly really poor, and the frustration from the fans was fair enough.... But since then for some reason we've seemed to of clicked, from management/coaching staff too all of the players and its really showing on the pitch..... I think we are 'gelling' as a team. Isla and Vargas have a great understanding on the right, Yuns finally come in and cleared up the LB problem, Dunne's looked awsome at CB (fare from what Rio looked), Austin and Zamora seem to have clicked... 'AND' even the soulless, heartless manager seems to of had a passion fire cracker shoved up his aris....all these positive things are coming together like a giant jigsaw puzzle and IMO its only a matter of time before we start picking up some serious points (Newcastle, Leicester, Swansea and Burnley will be the games to watch, reckon we'll go on a 4 game winning spree)

I honestly reckon that harry has just come through a bad bout of depression. His motivational skills and enthusiasm was non existent.
If you have a manager that doesn't give a fark, that reflects right down to the team, coaches and back room staff.
Only recently since Harry woke up and realized he could be sacked has he got up off his ### and injected some spirit through-out.
Well done Harry you have resurrected and so have the team.
              Amen

                THIS

It was harry that c##k the start of the season up mucking about with 352. We should of started the season how we playing now like last season. It took a awhile to get the players confidence back up but we are getting there now.

But we played 3-5-2 for the first half against Liverpool and were brilliant. Only had to change it because Nedum got inhured

Sure we played 4 at the back with Isla right wing and he dropped to right back when Nedum went off

I thought it was 3-5-2 with yun and Isla as wing backs allowing fer Sandro and Henry all in the middle to dominate the midfield. Then second half switched to 4-4-2 with Phillips right and fer left leaving only Henry and Sandro there which is why they got overran by Gerard allen/can and Henderson. How I saw it. I may be wrong though
