  • Sherwood, Pulis or Hoddle?

Sherwood - bookies 2/5, and the Les Ferdinand link he's very likely to replace HR....
Pulis - bookies 11/4, out of a job, talking recently saying he wants to get back into management and could argue he's a 'name' something TF likes.
Hoddle - bookies 10/1, already here, also a 'name' and knows the team and TF.

So its looking more than likely 1 of these 3 will get the job. Out of these 3 what 1 would you want?

Sherwoods young, enthusiastic and should inject some energy into the side. Also looks like he'd introduce the youth into the squad (if good enough). But I do feel he's just another Spurs reject. He's been out for a job for a while and he's had very little management experience. Also would be interesting to know how many jobs he's been for and been rejected from?

Pulis. Out of all 3 IMO he'd be the favourite to keep us up as he's proved himself at this level. My issues with Pulis is his style of football.. when he was at Stoke, that was a side 'he' built/moulded to play 'his' way. And it wasn't just the long throw-ins that gave him his hoofball reputation. I can't help think in 2/3 seasons time we'll be back here at square one looking for another manager because we've had enough of hoofball.

Hoddles not made much of an impact since being here. OK no one knows what he's actually being asked to do, he might not be as involved as much as he would like and we're not playing the formation he was brought in to help with (although I like to think he can do other formations) But he's still not done a great deal in recent times. Could argue he's been concentrating on his academy but he wasn't exactly a success at Wolves. And also think he's another media favourite and should just stick with that.

out of the 3 its between Sherwood and Pulis for me. At the moment I genuinely can't make my mind up on which 1 I would prefer though....

Sherwood - we don't have any decent youth players for him to improve, he has no tactical awareness and we are almost certain to concede 5 goals a game and get relegated. He's the easy option, but if TF goes for him I will start losing faith in his ability to make the right decisions. Big no.

Pulis - plays ugly football but it surely can't get worse than it is now. I wouldn't be certain of survival even if he came here, but he is the best of the 3 IMO.

Hoddle - just another shady back room pal of Arry's, it will be more of the same. Has had little effect compared to McClaren last year.

Pulis of the 3. Please, enough of this ex-Spurs mob screwing us over.

The board should be deciding on what sort of club they want us to be and then draw up a short-list from that not just picking who is flavour of the month.

Pulis, definitely not Sherwood, he doesn't have the experience of managing a team at the bottom of the table and we must stay up.

I don't want somebody who will get us playing hoofball just to stay up because I think we can do better than that. I thought Hoddle did well with England and I think he is our best bet to get us playing entertaining football and getting results at the same time. I could be completely wrong but one of our biggest problems in recent years is that we never take a chance, like Swansea did with Laudrup.

I say take a chance on Hoddle.

Bit harsh that station does he not have the best win ratio for Spurs managers in recent history???

On youth Front perhaps the kids are their but we just currently don't have a manager interested in them. Harriman is an example two years ago he debuted at Anfield and never looked out of place has had two great loan spells since but this season does not even make the squad although we have no out and out right back which he is.

                        Pulis for me.

Would love to see a well organised team of grafters wearing our shirt.

People say Pulis plays boring football but a) a team able to compete in this league would be a joy to watch and b) how many teams in the prem actually play attractive football?

Bet we wait too long and someone else snaps him up

You can blame TF and Beard for that one. A club our size should be permanently scouting managers in the same way they (well, not us, but proper clubs) scout players. That's where Laudrup, Koeman, Pochettino etc all came from.

Our approach to scouting managers is essentially the same as Harry's approach to scouting players: make some calls to mates, get an available big name.

                            a) I suspect we'd soon get bored of this
                            b) Virtually all of them play far, far better football than us.

And we'll never, ever, have a "well organised team of grafters wearing our shirt" while TF is in charge. It's a culture problem at the club, and it starts at the top. Players don't join QPR to graft, they join because we pay lots of money and are based in London.
