Sherwood - bookies 2/5, and the Les Ferdinand link he's very likely to replace HR....
Pulis - bookies 11/4, out of a job, talking recently saying he wants to get back into management and could argue he's a 'name' something TF likes.
Hoddle - bookies 10/1, already here, also a 'name' and knows the team and TF.
So its looking more than likely 1 of these 3 will get the job. Out of these 3 what 1 would you want?
Sherwoods young, enthusiastic and should inject some energy into the side. Also looks like he'd introduce the youth into the squad (if good enough). But I do feel he's just another Spurs reject. He's been out for a job for a while and he's had very little management experience. Also would be interesting to know how many jobs he's been for and been rejected from?
Pulis. Out of all 3 IMO he'd be the favourite to keep us up as he's proved himself at this level. My issues with Pulis is his style of football.. when he was at Stoke, that was a side 'he' built/moulded to play 'his' way. And it wasn't just the long throw-ins that gave him his hoofball reputation. I can't help think in 2/3 seasons time we'll be back here at square one looking for another manager because we've had enough of hoofball.
Hoddles not made much of an impact since being here. OK no one knows what he's actually being asked to do, he might not be as involved as much as he would like and we're not playing the formation he was brought in to help with (although I like to think he can do other formations) But he's still not done a great deal in recent times. Could argue he's been concentrating on his academy but he wasn't exactly a success at Wolves. And also think he's another media favourite and should just stick with that.
out of the 3 its between Sherwood and Pulis for me. At the moment I genuinely can't make my mind up on which 1 I would prefer though....
