  • Is it ok to swear in the family stand?

I saw a post where this came up, so thought I would have a poll.

I personally think it isn't, I mean, I'm ok with the occasional "f*** sake", but definitely not things that are more explicit and vulgar.

I don't think so , its a family stand if you go sit there then you should respect the children around you. Anywhere else I'm not bothered if people do.

I'd be aware of kids around me so would tone it down out of respect although the odd ffs might slip out.

Haha, remember when my old man used to take me. We were in the loft behind the goal with Harold bishop and his mates. My dad told me 'son, you are going to hear words that y.ou won't have heard before.
Those words stay here and don't take them home or you mum will kill me'.

Now i'm no racist ....but with people like you around i feel i have to start all posts with this, lest you, label me this, without proof to invalidate my argument.
Perhaps you'd better have a word with the players about swearing at that end of the pitch, both teams obviously, and the benches.
              Now back to the guardian

I don't know where that came from, you seem to have a chip on your shoulder, let me guess, you're one of those people who always thinks that everyone is accusing him of being racist?

This post is about swearing, and has absolutely nothing to do with racism. Anyway, back to my original point, I think the odd F word is ok, but I think the very crude swear words aren't. There are some people who don't want to expose their kids to that, and we should be making LR welcome for everyone, people who want to rant off shouldn't sit in the family stand.

This. You're at a football match so you're more than likely going to swear with the odd ffs. But with kids being around you've got to tone it down a bit and save the standing up and shouting at the top of your angry voice "Harry get your focking head out your focking ar$e and manage this focking $hity team for focks" to maybe another part of the stadium.

How long ago was that Hitman? I remember a glasses wearing chap called Harold and his mates when I was in the lower loft.

Wow dave completely over the top reaction.., can only assume it's Sunday morning after a heavy Saturday night.

What I would say is if you want to swear like a navvy (and the team give you every reason to do so) then every section in the ground APART from the family stand is available gor you to do it..l

Please - there isn't a need for that. This is meant to be somewhere where we can come and have some fun, not sit there arguing with one another. If you're going to continue acting like a child instead of an adult then I would rather not discuss anything with you.
