I dunno, all the forums are similar enough, probably a few more of the "I'm not racist but" crowd here though. A cross between the mail and the sun I reckon.
what i love about this site is its non clique pythonesque risque attitude.....the other sites are like the local boating or tennis clubs.......full of self centered dullards n guardian readers!
to be honest if rangers fans choose another site so what-not like your picking another team.
i only come on here for a bit of a laugh , i would nt describe the site as lowbrow ,its just not up its own a rse , plus i like bickering with all you rabid Tories
Well DSQPR started all this, so I await his response to this thread in earnest!
Oh snap! I feel like Peter Sellers in "The Party": started a firestorm and then bu&&ered off all day completely oblivious!
I did not mean "lowbrow" as an insult! This is the only QPR forum I post on and I am here because I enjoy it. The banter is fun and people tend to wear their heart on their sleeve which I think helps us to all feel each others' pain. You don't need to have a lot of intellectual content or intelligent discussion to have fun and talk about QPR. Which is a good thing so far as this message board is concerned! Any intelligent or thoughtful post is normally completely ignored while whimsical ones (like this one) are jumped on like fleas on a dog! Nothing wrong with that, just the character of the Board.
I do post occasionally on another forum related to Canadian football and the difference in the content of the posts is striking.
URRRRs!
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.
Nonsense facto, we've all got some great stories/close calls when it comes to women (best not for sharing on a public forum)....... obviously not any more though ;)
One of the main pulling points about here is that it is busy all day, and I was wondering if it was was visited more by lurkers from other forums for that reason, than that we visit theirs. Visitor stats always seem high.
Another great feature for this site, is that you can never have a serious conversation about anything here, without it descending into humour or name-calling and completely away from the point.

Oi, I'm a Guardian reader, but I like this site! I read the Guardian not because I want it to tell me how to think, but because just because occasionally, it posts articles with a far deeper analysis than the drivel you get in most of the rest of the mainstream media. I would class myself as a free thinker - i.e I'm open to all views, because I think everyone has a point of view worth listening to, even if they are rabid right wing t-wats..
But what I like most about this site is that it's unpretentious, and expresses more of the working man's (and woman's? Do we ever get any women on here? Is Shania a woman? I don't know! ) point of view than not just other QPR sites, but social and media sites in general. Having said that, I think it has a fantastic demographic, with opinions from across the spectrum. Some of the debates we have had in the Off Topic section have been excellent.
