  • Qpr covered the least ground

From statistics published today, the QPR players run the least km of all twenty teams in the Premier. Our players ran 107 km, compared that to Burnley....120km. No wonder they equalized in the 94th minute!

Most of the running was down the tunnel

OAPs and mercs inevitably run less.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Kirill have estonia got a chance of causing an upset sunday? Thinking of making some readys
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

              No chance whatsoever.
Could not even draw with Lithuania the other day.

There was a bit of gentle jogging and that was about it.

It is pretty disgraceful that each player ran over 1km less than the Burnley players though.

Not sure whether it is down to their fitness or laziness

Meaningless stat.... let the ball do the work is about the only thing I remember from the "coaching" we had at PE when I was a nipper.

What about movement into space giving the player with the ball an option to pass to, tracking back, or shutting the other team down not giving them time and space on the ball. All of these need people to run.

If we can't be bothered to do that then we are in trouble, especially when you are playing technically better players, which most teams are in this league.

It's not just about fitness, it's also about maintaining concentration for 90 mins.

After the two week break, I don't want to hear a single excuse from Redknapp about fitness levels.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Not surprised in the slightest. Stats can cause misconception but this one is nailed on.

It shouldn't be taken on it's own obviously, performances come down to more than one factor, but it is far, far from a meaningless stat.
