He's closes with Les, so that makes sense. I think we need someone who's successfully pulled a team up from the bottom to survive relegation, i.e. Pulis.
Nothing to do with his record at all, I just don't like the guy. Never liked him as a player either.
Football management isn't a popularity contest. If anything, the best managers are almost always complete pr*icks i.e. Fergie, Mourinho, Wenger etc - you basically need to be if you want a squad of 25 millionaires to do what you tell them to do.
That said, I think Pulis (at least in the short term) is the most obvious potential solution to our current predicament, if only because he's been in this position before. Before we get ahead of ourselves, I guess the big question is whether Redknapp can turn this around or not, or indeed if he wants to.
