Indeed he can only do his best and right now his best is to hide his head in the sand, which is the worst for our club. And believing in something is not enough for success.

improved performances, more effort and some decent results will achieve that, nothing else!

We may have been lucky to have him when he came, it certainly seemed so to me as well.
But if he goes on likes this, we may soon be lucky to have him leave.

Sounds like you are describing the Great British & Commonwealth forces during WW11 .........
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Really?? If he goes so does most of our financial backing and we would be up the proverbial without a paddle!

Not sure we'd have buckets big enough to collect the £40m fine we might need.

If TF leaves then we'll be collecting money in buckets again so be careful what you wish for.

Well, that's you. My wishes are much more modest, as always. I just want us to survive in the PL and the sooner they replace Redknapp or the vacillating club chairman who is not ready to replace him, the more chance of that happening. The rest of the things you mention can wait.

Sorry you are wrong. we cannot survive in the PL without some quality strikers because goals keep you up and goals cost money. You cannot sustain a Premier League Club on the Chairman's money alone, particularly if you want goals that cost money and so revenue has to come from elsewhere. A 17,000 single purpose stadium does not generate the money required to support the aim of staying up. And quality players expect and demand top quality training facilities, quite far removed from the current environment. Ergo, the rest of the things mentioned are actually far more crucial than you suggest and are necessary to produce a sustainable PL model for a Club that has spent years yo yoing up and down the leagues and still today displays the wreckage of administration, in terms of the lack of academy status and ability to retain any youth product, such as Sterling.

This new stadium and other facilities stuff - all very nice and logical for the long term. But if we do not survive in the PL this tempestuous season, it will all be no longer relevant/feasible for many years to come - in the best case scenario.

I am sorry I don't buy that and it is the most common false revelation.

90% of revenue is the 60m pounds sky pay every premier league club for tv showings.
Too much is made about small ground etc.

You should just look at the state Leeds are in. Plenty of big clubs with massive stadiums are ruined because they have been out of the premier league too long.

If we end up with a 40,000 stadium in the championship then unfortunately bluehoop we will also end up in the same old sorry state!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
