I like your thinking Westy, with Derry at the top of the pile alongside Gaz - what those two are achieving at lower league level is pretty darned impressive.

Imagine that coaching set up. Ex players who know what it means to play for the Hoops!

But they will want to buy young and hungry talents instead of bored and greedy OAPs,
how on earth will that fit into our current club leadership's unwavering concept of success?
          Stillborn idea, surely
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Who had heard of Dan Ashton five years ago? Txiki Beristigian, Michael Emenalo, etc. These guys are professionals doing a very demanding, specialised role.

When Chelsea last had a "director of footballing operations", before Mourinho came back, it wasn't Ruud Gullit, or Kerry Dixon or Zola or whoever, it was this guy: http://www.mikefordeperformance.com/biography
The people you mentioned had to start somewhere and had no experience when they first started so all we can hope for is that Ferdinand can do a similar job for us

We all know TF philosophy is to buy loads of players but this appointment is hopefully a small step in the right direction of putting a structure in place at the end of the day this sort of thing should have happened when he first took over but it's better late than never

I mean, FFS, what is going on with this club? I honestly don't get this appointment at all (apart from the PR angle)... still, I guess we'll see pretty soon..
I reckon so.. he admitted he is taking his UEFA pro licence so he manage in the Prem.. I reckon him and Sherwood will come in.
They have the opportunity to build something from scratch for years.

It does seem that way mate. I hope not, but it does.

To be fair though Ginge, I wouldn't mind seeing what Les and Sherwood can build from scratch.. Both young, with passion and an eye for young players.
I wouldn't mind to be honest... IF we went back in to the Champ.

This.........Viera seems to be doing something similar at City, not someone i thought was suited to the job. Whether any of their success is because of him
or just the vast amounts of money

at this moment in time I am feeling so disgrutled with Redknapp and his merry men... I would be over the moon with any change to be honest...

Tbh Venables is such a perfect fit with the Fernandes era I'm rather surprised he hasn't showed up yet. He would make an ideal overpaid part-time "adviser".

Do not want him or Sherwood anywhere near any managerial roles here. Let Les coach, fine, but those two aren't up to management in the premiership. This gif says it all…

They're tactically naive and a continuation of this outdated 'old school' mentality that Arry epitomises. Sherwood said Makelele the worst thing that happened to the Prem, that #10s don't exist and are just strikers who can't score, and has no ####ing ideas in general. Like Arry he got away with sending Spurs out with no plan due to the quality of their squad, and like Arry he'll get find out if he's forced to work with what we've got here.

Go for a manager with pedigree, not these opportunists and cowboys.
