Got a feeling though Les was sort of on board before it went t1ts up.... think he was at the Spurs game with TF. Also in his interview he talks about how at the beginning of the season 'we' hoped to do this 'we' hoped to do that. Sounded like he's been involved for a while or at least in talks..

Still think it's a PR stunt to keep the fans happy but the situation that needs addressing is getting Redknapp out and Pulis in.

I don't agree with you that its a PR stunt but I do agree Harry needs to go. He's clearly getting it wrong on the pitch and after today's comments he's now getting it wrong of the pitch. He's slowly causing a lot of negativity and uncertainty amongst the club and that is not good for QPR!!

Another example of how poorly the club is run appointed a name rather than the best person for the job. Just because he is an ex player doesn't mean he is Qualified for the job. Add to that the media team tweeting his best goals, which has nothing to do with his current role and I seriously can't see how this will ever be turned round and really believe Fernandes is the real issue.

I'm 30 and I hadn't even started secondary school when he last played for us. I'd hardly claim any person expertise about my primary school.

Since Les left we've had three relegations, three promotions, about ten different managers, five or six different sets of owners, and totally changed the admin staff a couple of times over. What is he supposed to know, exactly? I get the culture of the club argument, but that is literally it and the culture that Les knew and hopefully loved like we did/do began to die with Paladini, was briefly revived under Warnock/Amit and has been thoroughly killed off by Fernandes/Hughes/Harry.

Hughes got really lucky when he landed the Stoke job. Pulis had been there for 10 years and turned them from a low Championship club into a mid table Premier League club. Assembling a squad full of internationals and former internationals.

When Mark Hughes had his own building job at QPR he messed up big style. So as I say, he's a very lucky man to follow Pulis.

Really? A man who has never managed before? Much as I loved Lesley Ferdinand as a player for us, I wouldn't want him as our manager. I agree with poster above that it is in part a PR stunt. In reality, haven't we got enough bloody 'chiefs' already? Harry, Bond, Jordan, Hoddle and now Sir Les. I mean, FFS, what is going on with this club? I honestly don't get this appointment at all (apart from the PR angle)... still, I guess we'll see pretty soon..

To be honest, I'm a bit puzzled, what has Les done on the management side of football? sat next to Sherwood and a bit ocoaching at Spurs, but we've had 3 Ferdinand's play for us on;y 1 has been any good and the other 2 have been S**T, thought Anton was fantastic !!!!!!

The fact is Ferdinand was here when we didn't go out and splash the cash on "names" and actually had proper scouts getting gems from the lower leagues and developing them into top class players so in that respect he knows what QPR was all about and hopefully what is needed to go back to that philosophy .

You're correct about Paladini but for me he was the one who killed the club and the rest since have just carried that on.

People who have excelled in that role have a totally different skillset (that's a polite way of saying Les doesn't strike me as the sharpest in the shed, he never offers any interesting insight into the game). Who had heard of Dan Ashton five years ago? Txiki Beristigian, Michael Emenalo, etc. These guys are professionals doing a very demanding, specialised role.

Also, Fernandes clearly doesn't want someone who will think long-term and invest in youth, scouting and development. He wants a team of full of stars we've heard of, and he wants it asap. Redknapp was ideal for him. Sherwood probably will be next. Last thing TF wants is some random European type telling him it'll take a season or two to implement this new philosophy and PS I don't want Defoe as I'd rather sign this guy from Elche
