  • I'm still a little confused by all the negativity.

Our aim is 17th and we are 1/2 points from that? In our opening 7 games , 4 have been away to established premiership teams. And we have 4 points from 9 at home. That's not that bad. Our aim is 17th so where do people expect us to be right now? 2 more points and we have the same as Everton!!! Even arsenal and Liverpool only have 10 points from 21!

It's the performances, and the lack of fight. Not the losing.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is we're currently on course to finish the season with 22 points.

Still Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to play too. We should be getting something from West Ham away, they were fairly poor.

If we carry on like this we will end up with about 23 points, although it's not all over we need to beat teams like HUll, Saints, West Ham, Stoke

We need a point a game to survive, and 4 from 7 leaves us three points shy already which is bad enough.
Add to that the performances have been abysmal and it's easy to see why most of us fail to see where our next point never mind win will come from.

Tis not our points return - tis the nature of the performances...

Ablock my thinking was exactly the same as yours until the W.Ham game where I had an eye opener and really noticed just how lifeless and clueless HR was/is. If were to survive this league we need a team thats motivated and that want to play. W.Ham was a game we should of been going for 3 points, we didnt even look like we were going for a draw, we literally just turned up to have a kick about. There was no plan, there was no fight in the team and all HR done was sit in his seat quite looking completely lost. Weve got Liverpool, City and Chelsea in our next 4 games, 3 games where in all honesty I can see nothing else other than getting mullered and conceding a $hit load of goals (really really really really hope I'm wrong).

All though up until now Ive been chief leader of the Happy Clappers Union but I have said all along we need to stick with a system so everyone knows what their doing and what others around them are doing. But we've swapped and changed so many times that no one knows what they or others are doing. We spent pre-season and the transfer window planning/preparing for a 3.5.2, even brought Hoddle in to help with this system but how many times have we actually played it?

We are simply a non settled side playing out of our depth.
                        SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

We last blamed a manager 2 years ago mate, not 6 months ago.
We're blaming the manager because its valid! - if wasn't then we wouldn't.. There are a lot of honest guys on here who were still pro-redknapp before the weekend but I think it has now finally hit home.. just because you don't think its right to blame the manager doesn't mean you shoudnt do it, if it is his fault.

To be fair it's not just redknapp who should take the blame. The positioning of some of our defenders is shocking so you could put some blame on the crouching staff but at the same time the players have to have an equal blame, surely they can put an effort in, they are very well paid established professionals and if I saw 100% commitment with defenders throwing themselves at shots! the midfield harassing and putting in solid challenges and strikers chasing back and trying to stop the ball being knocked about then I could take the defeats and think we are just not good enough but we are really trying our best but unfortunately I don't see any of that it's more like a training session kick about, very frustrating.

It ALL boils down to the manager though.. his in charge.
