Its sad when kids are being bullied out of coming to watch the Rs just so a few mindless idiots can behave as they want to....

Its doubly sad when people are more worried about the number of people not singing than this sort of appalling behaviour....

you said ,the club got in touch because it was to do with the chanting .
As i said the thing with the little kid is unfortunate ,and out of order , BUT when we were kids we were taken to watch Rangers , in the 70 s early 80s ,watching the most violence and racism and it didnt stop us .

There is a world of difference between being extremely aggressive towards your fellow fans (we should deal with this ourselves) and "edgy" songs. Report a fellow fan for chanting or singing something the PC brigade don't like? You must BF joking.

You can find gender discrimination in any club in England every night: the men asking the women to dance and vice versa. SHAMEFUL!
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

My guess is it was not JUST to do with the chanting but other incidents too eg the one with the QPR kid, and perhaps other incidents at other games too.

"Us" you say? Can you honestly speak for ALL your fellow fans?

No of course not Stanley ,i was speaking about me and my pals ,why would you think i was trying to talk for all Rangers fans? think you`re being a bit pedantic with that comment,

I dont think its at all pedantic Vespa. I think it was important to make the distinction that perhaps it didnt negatively impact on you and your pals, but perhaps for many other fans it would have done. And if the club and fan groups can do more these days to tackle unfortunate incidents like with that young child then I'm sure you'd agree that's a positive step?

You were being pedantic ,in my opinion ,because you were inferring i thought i was speaking for " ALL my fellow fans ", when i didnt imply at all that i was.
If the club can tackle some charged up div shoutiing at a Dad with his son ,then yes I`m all for it.

Youre right Vespa, I shouldnt have inferred that. However you were basing your argument on the fact that it didnt negatively impact you and your friends.

I countered that by saying other fans may well have had a very different experience. A necessary (and far from pedantic) point in my opinion.

                          WELL

well in the edgerton pub in dalling road a qpr fan tried to decapitate another qpr fan putting three hundreds stitches in his kneck
this was on the day that warnock got us promoted not anywhere has anybody come forward to denounce this act of violence
simularily another incident where a qpr fan got a screw driver stuck in his kneck this time comming back from the millenium game 2000 against cardiff, this happened in the services on the way home
these two acts of violence have just been accepted
but because somebody in a purple jumper got drunk at southampton every body is saying hes completely out of order
now i dont know who the purple jumper geezer is but hes hardly done anything remotely violent, hes just had a couple of sherberts too many
i really dont think qpr fans are a badly behaved bunch, they are currently one of the best behaved fan bases in the prem
periodically there is a little bit of inn fighting but they are not any where near as bad as millwall
