I think that is a bit unfair. Green had a possibility to make a foot save, but then it would have been a great foot save.

only seen a stream that was a bit choppy but the second looked like a cracking goal that very few keepers would have kept out?

Any other Prem keeper would have saved the first in 9 out of 10 occasions. Agree a bigger and better keeper would have also got something in the second and probably gave saved it. Watch them both on MOTD all his fans will see.

Second looked unstoppable to me. Couldn't even blame Caulker who did everything right. First owed much to Ferdinand putting us on the back foot by giving them the ball. Green should have done better, but thought he redeemed himself both before and after that opener.

Keepers who play on their toes and move their feet get a hand to the second. Green from replays in ground had his feet planted and stood no chance as said top keeper gets hand to that

Agree. Although some will never see it that way.

I am confused. people on the forum say we played well and should have had a point and then others give the impression we could have been hammered if Green did not make some good saves. This does not sound encouraging to me.

Definitely wouldn't drop Green, but would think long and hard about Rio's contribution thus far.
We improved performance wise, but need urgently to get some sort of a winning mentality going.

Do we ignore Green's saves today yea?

So many Soton fans I know said after the game how well they thought Green played.

Must have missed all these great saves that Green made can think of one second half

I do not blame Green for the goals, however I do blame Rio for the second goal. He gave the ball very cheaply and we conceded the goal, although it must be said that it was a quality goal.

Out of interest who was our player on the guy that scored as although for me Green should have done better there is no way that player should have been able to turn and get a shot off. Our player should have been right up his a rse and his only option should have been to give it to the edge of the box not flip it over his shoulder. sloppy goal all around
