  • Lack of strikers or what?

A lot of people in here talk about that we should have more strikers in the 25 man squad so I did some research. On Premier League hom page I found list of all teams squad. Then I used ESPN Soccernet to find out positions for every platyers looking for forwards. I have to say I was surprised to see that QPR is not the only team with 3 strikers in the 25 man squad, and also seeing the other teams with 3 strikers or less.

    6: NEW, W.H
5: ARS, A.V, BUR, C.P, EVE, LEI, STO
4: HUL, LIV, SOU, SWA, WBA
    3: CHE, M.C, M.U, QPR, SUN
    2: TOT

Context is everything, you can't just look at numbers...

The problem is 1 of our strikers is a cripple, 1 is a bricklayer, and 1 is new to this league & probably won't even get a chance up front.

Well at least 1 of them will be some use in building a wall for free kicks

I think you are right - you see of M.U 3 one is a cripple, 1 is new to this league and 1 is not that good (RVP, Falcao, Rooney)
I wander what could be said of Leicesters lot all 5 of them, lower leagues or new to the league, not good enough for you - Nugent, Taylor-Fletcher, Ulloa, Vardy, Woods

The reason we're a garbage team has nothing to do with strikers.

Isla/Traore is the worst fullback pair in the Premier League. On what we've seen so far, each would struggle to break into many championship teams.

You can't seriously be comparing RVP and Rooney to Zamora and Austin :D

Actually they are not fullbacks (says HR) - but they are played out of position, I wonder why

I was not comparing players - stationcafe said our strikers were cripples and new to the league - just pointing out same could be said of others

Can you explain what you mean by garbage team.
I think we have the strongest group of players for a long time - please tell us when you think we had a stronger group

Oh god, another person who thinks traore is bad and so is isla despite him playing for juventus and being a top serie a player for most of his career.
