How long do we wait?

Even those that defend Redknapp can't deny that things need to improve massively with regards to team performance, not just results. Leicester and west brom have both showed how far we are behind our apparent "rivals". Yet on paper we surely have a far better squad than both of those teams. So how long should Redknapp be given to turn this around, to get us playing decent football and to start picking up results? For me, 4/5 games maybe

For me personally, it's not so much about the results as the type of lazy, disinterested style of football that we have had to put up with since he walked through the door.

On paper, this current squad should be miles better than what we finished our first season in the Prem with. But they had heart. They had character. And they had desire.

Perfectly happy for us to finish 15th to 17th, provided we try to entertain, rather than play for draws in the forlorn hope that we might win with that approach. What really gets me though, is seeing how the likes of Leicester and Burnley, simply because they try to do the right things, get all the praise they deserve, whilst we, also quite deservedly, get ridiculed from week to week.

One man is mainly to blame for this, but unless things change dramatically and very quickly, we are heading for yet another embarrassing relegation. Would be amazed if TF allows this rubbish to continue beyond another 5 games. If he does, it's clear that he most certainly hasn't learnt from his biggest mistake.

His constant excuses are really starting to irritate me as well. "It was a bonus game, players ain't fit, didn't have a squad for pre-season, going to Ireland for pre-season wasn't a good idea" etc. He's the bloody manager what does he think he gets paid for. Throwing Barton back in too soon against stoke has backfired as well, although to be fair if Barton said he was ok to play not entirely redknapps fault

the 2 away games coming up could be a deciding factor. Two abject performances with 0 points and I'll be getting restless

The Leicester performance today and how they performed last season demonstrates the mentality between your younger up and coming managers and old school like Harry. Football evolves and the days of hanging on for a point at your rivals being seen as a top result are long gone modern football is about taking as many points as you can at every opportunity especially at the start of the season

Harry plays away games with the old school mentality of lets hold what we have and take a point but more often then not that point ends up as Nil points I think he thinks he still has the marauding side he had at Spurs that could go away from home and play for a point; were not that side our best way of defending is to have a go week in week out and if that's not good enough and we go down no complaints from me but surrendering is not acceptable

I have not been one to call for Harrys head but the Spurs defeat made me think the Man Utd defeat made me ask serious questions and seeing how Leicester dispatched Untied by having a go, the same side that trampled all over us, simply because they wanted to have a go where we were only interested in turning up has made me now think cut our loses. I don't want to waste games like we did with Hughes hoping a change of fortune is around the corner

We've gone backwards since the optimism of the opener against Hull. Despite losing I thought we played well and was confident of our survival this time round

Two away debacles, yesterday's dross and now watching how our supposed rivals perform against the same opposition, has destroyed that confidence

With most of our midfield now injured I can only see 3 points from the next 6 games and have resigned myself to another season of embarrassing shite

In our first home game against Hull, we were unlucky to lose. In our second home game against Sunderland, I think, everybody played well and we deserved to win. Everybody is going on about Burnley, but they only managed a draw against Sunderland.

OK our two away matches have been disappointing, and need improving.

Having said that our home form is what is going to keep us in the premiership. We have always been a team which plays better at home than away.

I listened to MOD yesterday, and when the game started you could here the atmosphere coming through. After Stoke scored this dropped a bit (which it shouldn't have) but then returned once we equalised. The fans and the atmosphere at LR can win matches just as much as the players. After watching the highlights from LR, the majority of the games which followed were completely without atmosphere.

Also nobody seems to have mentioned that 1) Crouch's goal should not have counted. 2) there were numerous blatant fouls by Stoke players and most importantly although we went behind on two occasions, we managed to fight back and finished up getting a draw. I don't think this would have happened last time we were in the premiership.

Complaining about the players, the manager, the directors etc. is not going to get us any points and will probably lose us some.

I'm really not sure how much longer I will be coming on this board. I am fed up with the constant negativity. Whatever is done, certain people never seem to be happy. Many people were saying a couple of weeks ago that Danny Simpson is not up to the Premiership. Now he has gone people are saying that he should still be here.

We all knew it was going to be difficult, and to be honest I thought that we might be in a worse situation than we are at the moment.

I take your point Wests and I'm asking myself the same questions as you. However we do need to take into account Leicester were at home today and were set up as such. Had we played Utd at home I think our whole approach to the game would have been very different too. That being said the manner of our performance at OT was inexcusable.
