He's not scoring. Is the Premiership a step to far? Would dropping him be brave or foolish? What is the meaning of life?

If Remy or Defoe or Crouch were at the club then you can chop and change the strikers and be relaxed that they will all deliver
but unfortunately none of them are at the club so making the most of Charlie makes the best of a bad job
it would be interesting to know who on earth decided to leave the team with so few proven goalscorers
anyway regarding Charlie's individual play - i've not seen anything to worry about so far

I think we have to look at Beard on his capability to negotiate with players and get the deal over the line, we seem to drag every deal out, and either someone else will come in and get the deal done and we end up with what's left at the end of the transfer window far to late to gel players in the team.

There is no one to replace him, why not try a radical approach and coach him. Watch him in games, he rarely wins a straight header, simply because he fails to engage the centre half whilst the ball is in the air so really easy for the centre half to gain momentum and win the ball. Couple of hours on the training pitch could improve that massively, add a few more hours on his movement and there would be a marked improvement. Having said that there is quite a few of our players who could do with some coaching!

Even if Crouch hadn't scored he would still have had a great game , isn't it what BZ does in his 20 min cameo's
