Really feel today is massive ! Win and everyone will be content with 6 points from 5 games , lose and will all be ready to lynch redknapp ! Really need a performance today and a couple of goals but saying all that will prob be a draw lol Saying that tv cameras have been a curse lately so will prob lose !

To be honest mate I think every game is going to be equally as important as the last game IMO. So far despite some drama queens on here I think we're looking ok. We got mullerd against spurs and UTD but in all fairness everyone expected that. The only real harm done there is our goal difference. Also think with the help/influences of people like Rio, Barton etc we'll get stronger and more confident as a group and that will show on the pitch, and will also help us against the big boys. The fact that we played so well against 2 teams who are more of our standard gives me confidence.... today will definitely be interesting especially given our history with stoke/Huges but its not massive, no different to any other game IMO.

No different to any other game, yet you have accepted defeat against spurs and man u away. Not just another game then is it. It's a home game against a team that we'd hope to be more competitive against. Got to try and win these games if we want to stay up
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

These games against other #### teams are massive. We pretty much know we'll lose to top six teams.

May grab the odd draw but we have to beat teams like stoke at home to stand a chance.

100% just another game. The majority of our games this season we're going to be looking for a win. The top 6 teams realistically we're looking at defeat or draws anything more is a massive bonus. Not saying go their to lose, we'll hopefully go to them gamed hoping to come back with something. But realistically its probably a lose or a draw.... a 'massive' game IMO is a must win game and 5 games in is not a must win game. So yes at this point of the season its yes just another game... lets give them a game, let them know this is Loftus Road and we,re going to give them a game!!!!

I don't buy into this help/influences of people like Rio/Barton we'll get us stronger, it's just lazy throw away comments used by managers, pundits and now fans to justify existence of older players that somehow don't dominate in games but are praised for their alleged experience and off pitch influence.
Our team is full of players who have played at the top level in either this country or Italy etc, the problem we have had in our time in the premiership isn't support and influence but players including Barton and Rio not bossing games on the pitch.
Swansea, Swansea and even Stoke all flourished in the premiership not via help/influence of older players but because all the players played to their and beyond their potential by closing teams down, getting tackles in first and working hard. We instead have been pedestrian.
I just think each player has to take responsibility, these are players who are on at least £15k p/w. They don't need an arm round them from Rio to play football, as to Rio and Barton, Rio can stop worrying about being an influence in the dressing room if he can't mark his man at corners and Barton needs to boss the midfield and sort out set pieces than be worrying about his relationship with fans.

Agree. Today's massive. Lose and this place will go into complete meltdown and the nerves will kick in everywhere. Cos its a terrible start if we are on w1 l4 after five games. Im optimistic though, and really believe this team is good enough to beat any team put of the top six elite at home. Cant wait to be honest. Laters.

Its got nothing to do with age or experience of those players, its about influence of the pitch that's important. IMO Rio and Barton are naturally good at team building, getting a good bond within the squad something that will get us through games where we're not looking good, when decisions are going against us, something to pick the lads heads up when they're down. That's what's crucial. And with a strong bond within the team comes being able to read each other, knowing what the other players going to do (a relationship something the team of the yearly 90s had) Its all very well having a team with good individuals but it takes a team to pick points up consistently.

I completely agree with what your saying about their wages. With the money they're on Barton should score every free kick he takes and when he takes a corner he should find his man every single time. But that's not how it works, they're human who have bad days.... and also good days, otherwise we wouldn't be in the prem in the 1st place.
