I have been reading all the comments about Saturday's game and felt that it was about time I had my say. Football is a simple game - if you have the ball the opposition cannot score a goal. All last season we watched games where we did nothing but defend. The only games that we showed any attacking flair in was when McLaren was on board. Ultimately we were lucky to win the play-off final and go up. We did not deserve to and most of the time we did not have a settled side because someone ( ? our manager ) kept changing the team. To be successful you need a settled side who learn to play together as a TEAM. We have bought, hopefully, some good players but they will take time to blend together. On Saturday we were never going to get anything from the game. We put out three mid fielders who had never player a competitive game together, so they were never going to dominate the midfield. Sandro hasn't played a competitive premier league game for ? months so how was he going to be fit. If the forwards don't get any supply from the middle of the park, how can they be expected to score a goal. So what was our game plan - to let Man.U. have the ball and sit back and defend against some of the most talented footballers in the world - absolute suicide. I have been watching QPR since the Rodney days and our philosophy is take the game to the opposition. If we have the ball the opposition cannot score. We were never going to win yesterday, but we could have made a game of it. Don't blame the players - blame the management !!!!

Ridiculous post, tell that to Derby, kept the ball for almost 90 minutes and we scored. It took a moment of pure luck to break us down, once nerves kick in, we were always going to let more in. Please don't trivialise the sport by calling it simple because it really isn't"What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane
