  • Vargas very good movement

You will not have seen this on the box but the lad has top movement off the ball and was giving the two United CB a right running about but we never slipped him in once and the lad was starting to get very frustrated looking to the sky and praying with his hands when he made run after run and the ball never came.

I hope that the management have picked up on this and tell the Midfield etc to watch him and put him in as I can see a very promising prospect for us getting fed up making runs and turning lazy.

His movement was superb off the ball best I have seen from a Rangers player in a long time playing on the shoulder. He's quick and if we can get him in he will get chances. Actually think him and Austin could be a decent partnership with two up top at home

Yea he did look sharp didn't he, reckon he could be a right handful against lesser sides than Utd. Hopefully he starts against Stoke so we can see a bit more of what he is about.

Must start next game instead of Phillips.

Don't know what he is like as a winger though, all the attributes I saw yesterday suggested he is more suited as a striker sitting on the shoulder of the last man.

Agree I do not mean we use him as a winger. With Barton back, Phillips needs a rest. He is a good player but needs to be introduced slowly. Harry was harsh starting him after a long injury. Perhaps Hoilett as right winger and Taarabt as left winger will work.

All this thread has cheered me up no end. Apart from the bit about him getting frustrated at poor service.

Only one player on our books that has the vision and quality to play forward attacking passes to players he trusts i.e when Remy first signed......but lets not go there

Kelvin Henry? Or are you referring to the one pass Adel provided for Remy to score at WHU?

This is where Adel comes into it West.

There are two with that kind of vision. One of them sadly is Ale Faurlin.

...Vargas reminded me a lot of Aguerro, small, off the shoulder player and a low centre of gravity. As someone has already alluded to, let's see how he does against the so called lesser teams.

In order for him to shine, he'll need players on the same sort of wavelength, or we'll make him look another player who comes here to look rubbish.

Agree with the Vargas movement being Aguero'esque
