Yeah that was decent. Was me first away game on me own up there. Think it was 88/89. Got well beat four nil but ragged the northerners for their flared jeans and the folding money we had in our sky's. Was all that loadsamoney at the time.

88/89 the Casual/Mod look was gone in the flash of a heavilly dilated pupil ,for me and my lot ( trainers aside obviously ) ,we were rockin bollgame 22" bottom jeans ( or dungerees) ,stussy sunhats , smiley t shirts and beads , 88 to 91 the years that fashion forgot ..........

Think that was the Cup 2nd replay. Lost 3-0 after Macca was sent off for elbowing Hughes. Was standing with about 200 other R's in the pissing rain. Monday night when they were rarities. Got the milk train home and night bus back to Hammersmith with my mate Mark Hodgson - straight into work. Lost 2-1 up there in the league. Think it was 2nd last game of the season and Macca scored!

Loved that season for some reason. First one back on grass, last decent adidas kit and some corking away games.

Tell ya what Vesp's, looks like we're going to end up in a 15 man daisy chain, let alone a multiple man hug.

Chipie, Timberland, Paisley pattern shirts, baggy sweatshirts sweating for eight hours in mad places with mad people. Prodigy, Carl Cox, and people pulling faces to tunes that hit the spot
