I'd play fer midfield and not behind the striker. The boy is mr box to box and I think you would be wasting that asset personally

You could be right. Main weakness I see (other than the striker situation) is down the left. Hoilett prob wouldn't be considered among the best 11 players we have but correct me if I am wrong - not one of our midfield galacticos can really play on the left? Which means one of Hiolett, Adel or Traore.

For me Hill still has to be in at LB. There is a weird obsession with sticking Yun in many 'best starting 11s' based on a handful of performances at championship level. Traore is a liability at left back. It shouldn't be underestimated what Clint brings to the side in terms of drive and commitment.

Think this is about right, gives us 2 options which is always important

That would be my lineup, depending on who is playing right wing on the other team.
For me Clint can do a job and he is superb and throwing his body in the line of fire.
Not much in it for me with regards to yun and clint. I think clint is the better defender but yun has a bit more pace about him but hard to drop clint after sat.

Can Vargas play left midfield or are you shoe-horning him in there because you want him in the team?
I'm not part of the Joey Barton fan club but would be amazed if he didn't start every game, probably more for continuity/ leadership than pure ability.
