Defoe played his first game after a few weeks out with a groin injury against Chicago Fire on 23rd August.
However, he was not selected (or on the bench) ths weekend against New England Revolution.

So he's either injured again, or......

I think if he get Defoe in its great buisness for the club a goalscorer that will no doubt get 10-15 goals which could be key for our survival in this league

How much would Defoe cost I would guess about the same as Hooper a no brainer yeah ? ! I always thought Remy would leave at th 11th hour not giving us much time to scour the market , imo Defoe would be hard to get better at the right price and fitness given the time left

I've always liked and rated Defoe but I can't help wondering if an injury prone 30-something striker is the right move for the club.

No doubt we will sign him on a four year contract at 120K per week.

Report that Levy wants £16m for Sandro - that's that then.

Mind you, it is the Mail.....

Hah! You have to love Levy. 16m for a player who won't make their 25. Looks like we will just have to make do with diara - a similar type of player - who we got on a free. And Levy can carry on paying 50k a week to Sandro not to play. Why would his value have doubled when he can't even make the spurs squad? madness, and no way tony will pay anything like that. pretty well everyone we have bought for a fee this window has been 8m and I wd have thought that wd be our limit.

Remy was also injury prone, though more than 3 years younger.
