  • Vargas question

How come it has taken 3 weeks to get a work permit for him, yet Di Maria only signed for man u in the week and played yesterday.

Both full internationals both playing in europe and both south american.

    Just asking the question like.

That's a good point you raise. Would be nice to know the answer.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

The above is the frustration with our media team, decent job but the likes of Taylor constantly promoting his own twitter feed and talking of busy days is not what fans want, news about Vargas is!

Somehow its the media teams fault?
If theres nothing to report yet what do you expect them to report? If there isnt an update how can they update us?

As I said on another thread yesterday Man Utd signed Rojo before us and he still hasn't got clearance to play. It's just the way things are some obviously have different reasons why they take longer.

            1. He signed on the 21st, so less than two weeks.
            2. Di Maria has an Italian passport so doesn't need a work permit.

But yeah, seems to be taking too long.

Rather than blame the club or the media team, why don't you ring the home office

It is what it is unfortunately. No one at that clubs fault.

I guess I am missing something but isn't it the clubs job to organise the work permit and then to report through their media team an update for the fans who pay their wages, but if you want to help them out and ring any update would be appreciated.

What I dont understand is why, if Vargas was playing for Napoli, he doesnt already have an Italian passport himself?

The decision to provide a Non-EU national with a work permit is made by the Home Office. I'm guessing it just goes on the pile and they look at it whenever they get around to it. Probably goes in the same pile as all the other applications. It's not like they see that QPR has signed someone so they'd better deal with this quickly in case we miss out on next match. I have a feeling that he probably needed some specific documents that he had to go back to Italy for. Think Harry said something similar.
