  • Danny Simpson signs for Leicester - official

QPR agree deal with Leicester City for defender Danny Simpson ...

Danny Simpson has joined fellow Premier League outfit Leicester City on a permanent deal.

Simpson, who arrived at Loftus Road last summer as a free agent, has penned a three-year deal at the King Power Stadium, after Rangers accepted an undisclosed fee for the right-back.

The Salford-born defender played a key role in our promotion-winning season last term, making 33 starts and one substitute’s appearance.

His only goal for the R’s arrived in a Capital One Cup tie against Exeter City.

The club would like to thank Danny for his contribution to QPR and wish him all the best for the future.

Would have kept him as cover, but imagine he wants first team football. Good luck to him. Nice guy. And he did well for us. Not remotely a Remy type.

Diarra can also play at RB, as can Isla, Nedum and Harriman, so plenty of cover there.
