I can't see him starting against united.

We can afford to ease him in but I think barton plays that role and he is our captain so I think he will struggle to get into our starting 11 but he does offer some experience.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'd like to see Diarra sit deep & in front of the back FOUR

Diarra, Mutch & Fer is decent
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Top signing assuming he is the same player we saw over here a few years back

you missed a fantastic game today mate. 1st half reminded me of the side from the 90's, real quality attacking football. 2nd half was always going to be challenging

caught most of it on a stream mate-agree about the quality of attacking football, was refreshing to see. seemed to lift the crowd who sounded loud today. showing signs of getting a good squad together imo.

and that was going to be my next point.

The fans get plenty of abuse on this forum. The atmosphere was fantastic and the players really did feed off it, so I hope we don't get anti fans posts because I couldn't fault it today.

Sorry, I must of been at the wrong match today seating in the paddock next to Ellersie Road. Like the team of the 90's? For the first 38 minutes Sunderland was the better team and could have had a goal within 30 seconds. We hit the woodwork. We were fabulous for the last 7 minutes after someone, Joey Barton, decided to close them down and Sunderland lost their shape and were clueless.

Second half we had to defend and defend and defend....... Rob Green was superb. We defended to deep at times and the midfield did not close them down consistently. If Sunderland score in the 2nd then I feel they would of won the match.

Very happy with 3 points cancels out the Hull result when we should have won.

Sitting with Barton in the 3-5-2, Harry said today he wants to go back to it but can't until he has the players in that can play that system.

Thought he was a lot older than 29 so looking forward to seeing just how good he is.
