Arsenal have come in for him and Remy would love to work with Arsene. Phil Beard was very busy on the phone tonight. We're after four players with Diarra (who was escorted into the ground after 22 mins into the game) being one of them. Words from Phil Beards mouth.

I am confused about the release clause. The media (including BBC and The Telegraph) are quoting a fee of 10.5 million. Is it possible the fee went up after the season started?

Nobody knows for certain JM and we probably never will. It took a long time before we even concluded that there WAS still a release clause! Whatever the case, one thing we do know for certain is that they are getting him for a song.

Losing Remy really hurts our squad IMHO. Today was very encouraging, but what happens when Charlie is out? You need a bit of depth and even with Remy we were a bit light up front. Without him, there is a gaping hole.

Any chance he could fail both medicals, hehe.

Well I wonder if Vargas was brought in as Remy's like for like replacement. I think everyone at the club did expect Remy to go to be honest. If you have a proven goalscorer with a cheap release clause you can't really plan on them staying, can you?

Be glad when he's gone. Austin today showed what the benefit is of having a forward who wants to be here, non stop running, fought for every ball, didnt hide once and got his goal as a reward for his efforts.

I'm guessing they are mixing up their Pounds and Euros. Not difficult to imagine a newspaper getting it wrong.

Apparently, a club official confirmed it was £10.5 million. Harry was the one who said he thought it was 8 and he was pleasantly surprised that it was higher. Or so I have read.

A reporter said it was £10.5m in Harry's post match press conference to with he replied "oh £10.5m of great deal then, sell him" in a tongue and cheek manner.

Oh. The article I read said "a club official". If it was a reporter, it was probably bowlarks then.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp just told me Remy was due to play today & then there was a phone call from Chelsea at 12 noon & the fee will be £10m

The French papers are also reporting 12 million Euros (which is about 10 m). They seem to think that is a good deal for us, so maybe they know something we don't. Sorry off on a cruise with my DH, don't have time to translate.

It was Ian Taylor who said £10.5m
