Redknapp praises Taarabt and will show the door to some players
“It was only Taarabt who did himself any good tonight. I thought in the first half he was different class.
“He got a bit tired towards the end but I thought his performance was encouraging and if we can get him fit he could be an asset.
“I don’t know what he’s going to do – he’s got a buy-out clause I think – but you saw in that first half that his ability is on another level.
“I gave the lads who haven’t been playing an opportunity to show me what they could do and they showed me what they could do – and it wasn’t an awful lot.
“We look off the pace still. We look like we’ve got a few players still trying to get their match fitness.
“We saw one or two tonight who I don’t think are going to get in my team and are better off moving on.”
“Shaun had a tough night tonight"
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Can't believe it's happening all over again.

Arry is an absolute mug; does **** all then blames others when things don't work out by themselves. That ain't gonna work here, he doesn't have a Modric/Bale/VDV to save him.
If it keeps going like this he will start blaming the board's inability to sign Scotty Parker or the fans' negativity when he comes under fire. And the his media mates will absolutely rip into us. This man is toxic.
Hopefully this means we will start utilising our most talented player from now on.

He'll make some stupid high-profile bid on deadline day for Van Der Vaart or Defoe or whoever and then spend the next few months say "well we always felt we were a few bodies short, just lacked that bit of quality, couldn't quite get the deals done and now we're down to the bare bones blah blah".
Man for man our squad is far better than Swansea & Norwich in 2011/12, Pulis' Palace last year, or whoever else got promoted in between and did well (I can't be arsed to look them up, the point will stand) but the big difference is those teams had a tactical plan, were well organised and well coached. In short, they performed beyond the sum of their parts - something I've never seen us do under HR.

Think what's more of a worry is that it's taken Redknapp this long to realise the deadwood we still have at the club... Forget all that guts, heart and passion bull, there just not good enough. Hoilett, Henry, Zamora, hill, swp, probably dunne, they have had there chance. Time to move on.Onouha and Phillips needs a chance and a run in the team. Faurlin... Love him to bits but fear more injury problems. But would you give Harry more money to reinforce? Nah.C'Mon You Supaaaa!!

Keep seeing Henrys name on the peoples hit list which is a bit unfair on yesterday performance as for me he was really the only one to have a good game. He done what Henry does broke up play and gave it to others who should have been able to do something with it. Felt sorry for him as he was my MOM but who gets dragged off Henry. What I would also add is he was the one that kept showing for the ball and going deep to get it off the keeper and CB when others just held their position he was the only one that I thought looked like he was saying pick me but that's just my opinion others there might suggest otherwise
I had always been of the opinion Murphy is an able replacement for Green but I was not overly impressed yesterday. The goal for me partly his fault he put the wall up but then stood what seemed way to far over to the other side of the goal leaving 3/4 of it empty and from behind the goal the other end you could see all the player needed to do was beat the wall and it was in, he was never going to get across to keep it out
Adel well you all know my views so what I will say is that he did for me give 100% and look interested particularly the first half. You could tell second half he was starting to get frustrated and to his credit tried to do more and take on more responsibility to make a difference but that to some extent leads to him making more mistakes if that makes sense. My impression last night however was although he was one of the better players that is not the Adel that some will remember from the championship and some put forward as a top player in our relegation season. Time and time again he got knocked off the ball and that is something that never used to happen with him he used to be strong as an ox and players would bounce off him and he would keep going but last night he was bullied off the ball and I have not seen that with him before that was one of his strengths but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was due to fitness and if your not match fit things you want to do don't happen. There were positive signs from him though if he can get fit few nice touches and switches of play but hes not fit enough for the prem and if Burton can bully him I dread to think what a Prem side would do but he looked interested and wanted to be involved in the game so credit where it is due

why are our players not fit enough? Everyone knew when the season was starting.
It's scandalous. There's something drastically wrong.
Warnock had a far less talented squad when we first came up and got them fighting and grafting.
We did ok when we first came up with him - a few bad results and we sack him.
It's just gone downhill from there.
Really depressing
The players don't care- that's obvious
