Wenger is stubborn; if he hasn't gone in for Remy yet then he won't IMO.

Everyone talks about the low fee but Remy is on 70/80k a week depending on what you believe. He'll be 28 this year and will lose some of his pace soon, which is a massive part of his game. He'll also want a 3/4 year contract. 4 years on 75k a week = over 15.5million in wages. That's a lot for a back up striker when they've got Campbell, Walcott, Sanchez, Sanogo.

From what I've seen Wenger is only interested in the real elite players now - Ozil, Sanchez etc. Those players will make a difference in the CL against the likes of Bayern, Juve, PSG etc. - Remy isn't that class, he'll do well in the Premiership but won't take Arsenal to the next level.

Wenger says Podolski won't be sold during this transfer window. Hopefully that means he won't come in for Remy.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that forward Lukas Podolski will not be sold during the current transfer window.
