Wenger is stubborn; if he hasn't gone in for Remy yet then he won't IMO.
Everyone talks about the low fee but Remy is on 70/80k a week depending on what you believe. He'll be 28 this year and will lose some of his pace soon, which is a massive part of his game. He'll also want a 3/4 year contract. 4 years on 75k a week = over 15.5million in wages. That's a lot for a back up striker when they've got Campbell, Walcott, Sanchez, Sanogo.
From what I've seen Wenger is only interested in the real elite players now - Ozil, Sanchez etc. Those players will make a difference in the CL against the likes of Bayern, Juve, PSG etc. - Remy isn't that class, he'll do well in the Premiership but won't take Arsenal to the next level.
