  • Strong words from Ned

From my viewpoint we should have been easing these new players in and building on the spirit built up last season, we made the SAME mistake three years ago!
    Kept the faith!

There were "strong words" after every rubbish performance the last time we were here so not bothered reading any of this. Do the talking on the pitch.

Reminds me of the rallying call we used to get in prem a couple of years ago .......

Normally on a Thursday afternoon prior to the weekend fixtures .........different player every week ..........usual predictable load of drivel .....

'' we've let the fans down .....we're getting better .......we know how much it means to the fans .......we just need to gel ........we believe in this squad of players '' ..............What a load of s hite !!!

Get on the pitch and run your f ucking socks off for 90 mins .......sweat blood for this team we all love and stop blaming yourselves and those around you !!!

I get the feeling Ned is cut from different cloth, I refer back to my original point and I suspect that his words are in reference that, could be wrong.

Can't ease in players if you don't know what league you're gonna be in??

Caulker, Rio, Vargas, Isla, Fer all would of come to a championship side? I think not.

not hindsight, but Nedum should be in the starting 11 over Dunne. Dropping Faurlin, that is if he wasn't carrying a slight injury, when he was one of the better players against Hull, is more worrying.
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

I think Fer is the better player but in hindsight you're probably right. He said himself he's not fit so again why the change. Odd.

Ok let's try this again, the players brought THIS season should have been slowly integrated into the team,THIS season.

How? We've only just signed them?

We are a club who unfortunately has to wait for it's targets.

I suspect these are the issues he is trying to highlight, that said, TF also made a point of praising Faurlin.

JR, what I am trying to say is, ONCE the players where brought you put them on the bench and SLOWLY add them to the team over a period of weeks, we spent all preseason working on a system with players then added new players in that have not had time to work on that said system.

A few games watching brief, would give them time to see the system in action and with the foreign players, time to settle in a new country, we did the same thing with Mbia, Granero, Samba and the list goes on.

It appears we have learnt nothing over the last few years, and that's unforgivable!

I hope this makes more sense to you Jimmy Rabbit.

Yea I agree with a good few points there definitely.

The problem with this is you are damned if you do and damned if you don't, as far as the fans are concerned. In the preseason Rio played very few games and everybody on here was saying "why isn't he playing, is he injured". A few said he needs to get fit and the response was how can he get fit if he doesn't play.

I personally think that the new players should be eased into the team, but on the other hand, you can't see how these players are going to fit in if they don't play. They could come on as subs and look good, but then when they play for the whole game, they look awful.
