I was actually thinking a long way further back to when the whole side could play football, because I'm an old git. I was thinking of our England skipper. We didn't have much money then, but we loved the ball....

It was just a long hoof over the top. Most of the time those go out for goal-kicks. I'd happily sacrifice the odd time they work out for a retaining the ball and working it forward properly

That tweet could be the kiss of death for Ale. Shame if it is.

P.S.:Sorry for responding to the thread topic, and not going off on the Barton/Taarabt pass comparison.

                  Why do you say that?

In respose to the title of the thread; IMO, I think Harry reckoned Faurlin would be too slow against a very quick Tottenham team.

The irony. This from the man who partnered Rio with Dunne in a back three. You couldn't make it up.

Mutch has been shocking. Fuarlin instead and Hoilett behind the strikers.

Does anyone know why Austin wasn't even on the bench?

I don't think we're strong enough to play 3-4-1-2 or 4-3-3. Until we can defend properly at the back and in midfield, I think we have to go 4-5-1. Our centre midfield should be Fer Barton and Faurlin.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Who is going to be the single striker, as we apparently don't have one.
