its well known harry and Pulis are buddies, nothing to be read into here.
this happened before, Pulis at a game, and the same wrong conclusions were drawn then as well!

Very good original post, it's way too soon to panic for reasons you have said! I think the difference with this squad as opposed to the one that stumbled out of the blocks 2 seasons ago is the depth and superior quality, yes there are some missing pieces but what smaller club in the division has all the pieces?

Generally agree with original post. We do now seem to have a decent enough squad and far better balanced than last time we were in this division. I suspect a few more will arrive to pad out the squad and strengthen areas we are still slightly short in.

The only question mark I have is over 'Arry's suitability. I'm not suggesting we change managers, way too early for that, but for me he is to a degree the weak link. You could argue we would not have got some of the players we have without him being here and that is a valid point. However I have seen little in the nearly two years he has been with us to suggest he is much good tactically. The set up against Spurs was painfully naïve. The two full backs were way too high up the pitch leaving a back three very exposed and two of those back three in their mid thirties. The Spurs boss has a reputation for his team playing with fast, accurate passing. We were set up to get a spanking and were lucky it was only four in the end.

We played with three midfielders who were not familiar with each other and played like strangers. Particularly bearing in mind how Spurs play would have made far more sense to have either kept Faurlin in, who I thought played well against Hull, or start with Karl Henry who basically could have closed down their players better, maybe bring on Fer for last 20 minutes or something. I don't blame Dunne too much as did all he could but should have been Ned starting who has far more pace, which we needed in this game.

I'm hoping with Hoddle on board that will start to have an influence on how we play. Early days and still hopeful we will do alright.

Just been talking about that goal to a couple of Spuds work mates who were at the game..thanks rangers for the humiliation. They reckon they were as good as we were bad but i dont know. If we play like that against ANY prem teams we would have got a hammering. Awful.

                    Positives:

                    1) I was pleased with the Hull performance, another day we would have got a draw or win.
                    2) Rio/Caulker look good, as much as I like them could not go with Dunne/Hill this season.
                    3) Isla likes to get forward but we didn't pass quick enough, or at all when he was in space.
                    4) We can get out of the bottom three this weekend by beating Sunderland.
                    5) Pulis left Palace.
                    6) Hoddle on-board.
                    7) International break soon to help new players and system integrate.

If we had played Spurs first followed by Hull I think everyone would be a lot happier saying things are going in the right direction now.

My spurs mate is as honest as they come, and yet he said we were lucky it wasn't 6 or 7 which would of been a fair reflection on the game.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

That was what the original song was buff till people misheard it and changed it to 'sir les' and cinzano started calling him it on the radio.

Not just two games. Harry @ QPR in the EPL = 3 from 28. At times we struggled in the division below. That is the real context.

Blimey that's a dreadful stat... To me, he looks like a bloke who's been married 40 browbeaten years and has lost all interest and run out of spunk for the job... Maybe I'm wrong I don't know but we're no this first love that's for sure...

You never know, this could be just the kick up the 'arris that the club needed. As many have pointed out, we would probably have lost that game on Sunday anyway, but the manner of the defeat was terrible.

We could have gone on and on losing 1-0, 2-1 etc. and drawing the odd game (sound familiar?) for the rest of the season and gone down again with a whimper. I am fully expecting a reaction now and it could be just what we need.

                              Or not.

I have the best positive. We are still in the league cup. I say this now before we play!!!
