  • Odd Managerial Decisions today

Only real positive is that surely Harry has seen that Dunne cannot start at this level and I would go as far as to say he's not good enough for the 25 when it is announced however he saw his error at HT and took him off but that is where the strange decisions set in.

You take of a CB go four at the back but instead of putting on your RB from last season you put a CB on in Nedum (done well enough when he came on) to baffle further the RB you had on the pitch in Isla is told to play as a winger

All very odd; for me the most straight forward change is to go four at the back replace Dunne with Hoillet and leave Isla at RB

Also odd to keep waving at the Spurs fans when there doing it to mock us because were losing, never really bothered me but a lot of the fans in the away end felt mugged off by those gestures

Im going to call this one early but I have strong concerns if Mutch is going to cut it for us!! He is not really a player who had registered with me before he signed and now I know why he has never caught my attention its because hes not very good I predict he will be the fans no1 boo boy by Christmas

Agree on Mutch and what exactly is his role or position? First three goals all scored or created on our left hand side of defence! Traore ran dunne and mutch very close to worst player on the pitch.

We will see but we have to get going fast so we do not repeat the season with Sparky where we could not get a win.

New players in on top of a new tactic which we have not tested very much against better sides might be too many changes to cope with in short term.

It still feels like he threw three points away, today. I´m quite angry and dissapointed now...

Thought Dunne was excellent last week against Hull so don't agree he can't cut it at prem level although that's not to say I think he should be first choice.

            Worrying signs about Mutch though.

Prem league is a different gravy Dave and you need to be able to do more then jus defend. Last week he gave the ball away time and time again and today he done the same when he was on it. He puts us under pressure with his uncertainly as hes unable to bring it out so he gets so far stops and goes backwards that's one of the reasons we play so slowly. For me he is to blame for the first and third goal. First goal he puts his foot up to clear it when surely he should have tried and put his head on it and third for whatever reason got caught outside the box and the player that wandered in and headed it done so from where Dunne should have been had he not been out the box for the build up

Well Ned can play at RB so I guess he was thinking of shoring up that position by using someone more defensively minded. Think it was just damage limitation to be fair.

I think one of the missing ingredients from today was Ali Faurlin. We seemed to play better the minute he came on (although Spurs had probably were taking it easy bu this time).

So put Simpson on who is a right back and never let us down defensively last season why put a CB at RB when you have a CB on the bench. Why play a RB (RWB) at RW leave him at RB.

Don't agree re Dunne. As WA says struggles in possession & when he doesn't give the ball away slows up play. Whole team struggled today mind.

Bang on Jane for me until the new signings show they are up to the job stick with those that have earned the right to wear the shirt. Faurlin never gave the ball away once once he had came on and is the exact type of player we need in the middle to knit things together plays with his head up and plays forwards

good indication on a player is fans assessment of them. Both Cardiff (Mutch) and Norwich (Fer) have high opinions of these players. I'm hoping they both may not be 100% fit yet. Though bit concerned with Wests opinion as normally tend to agree with him
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

Think Mutch will be decent personally.

Wayyyyyyyyy to early to make such statements.

Sorry Lyme obviously that's based on first impressions and may be a bit knee jerk but after two games I am unsure what he is going to offer. Usually you can tell from the off what a player offers even if there having a bad game but Im struggling with Mutch. Was caught in possession time and time again, seems to want all day on the ball, does not so far look overly energetic and lets people run past him without even put a block in.

I will give him a chance and hopefully I am being knee jerk but im not convinced. As an example Fer was poor but he showed the odd glimpse that made me think ok he can put his foot in and get on the ball and carry it I have not had that moment with Mutch in two games.

What did jump out today was that there were two of three occasions where he could have got the ball forward quicker to Remy and Phillips and we would have been in decent positions but he chose to get on the ball and turn back.

Im sitting on the fence on this one for now
