Palace did what any football club/business would have done.
Can't disagree with that regarding Palace, Johnny. That's why Tan released the texts when he did; to stiff the fella. Was thinking long term. Which is the point Harry made. And why the OP started the thread.....

      • Mackay been done up like a kipper and i feel for the fella. Media always gonna jump all over this and Tan knew it.

        • As a minority, I read some of the texts that were apparently exchanged and laughed my a*se off.

I'm sorry to those offended but these lads had a private conversation where the content was no worse than Frankie Boyle jokes heard on BBC - I hate how the liberalized media will criticize anything slightly offensive to anyone no matter what the context. I don't think either of them are racist or homophobic and though their comments might be inappropriate and ill-advised neither deserve to lose a job over it

Good post mate and agree 100%
It's a bit trendy to be all liberal at the moment.

              • Just been reading this thread and have to say thank you to all concerned for the entertainment.

And Deeps, I'm considering buying you a wall in order that you can bang your head against it.

                • I've read Malky Mackay's comments and this whole thread. Here's my 2 pennies worth,

1.) Malkay Mackay is an idiot. Whether you agree or disagree with his comments, whether you think it's just banter or utterly vile, a man in his position should be far more careful.

2.) Political correctness in the UK has gone way, way too far, it's a huge part of the reason that I no longer live there. We have a nation of people who live their whole lives worrying about what could possibly be deemed offensive.

People will say things that will offend you, that's life. There really is no need to get up in arms every time the person that is offended is a minority, grow thicker skin and get on with it. Trust me, travel the world and you will see examples of racism that condemn minorities to lives of pain and suffering. Of course when these scenarios are reported in the UK press they fill a lot less coloumn inches and drum up far less public interest than a football manager who called one of his players a ch*nky!

                      Me too.
I want to travel the world and and help expand the British Empire again. Subjugating countries is what us evil Europeans do best.

                      • Anyone else noticed that Harry's Friday press conference from this week is not currently available on QPR Player? Not sure if it was put up and subsequently taken down or it's never been put up at all. This probably gives you an indication of the clubs thoughts on Harry's comments about Malkay Mackay!

Maybe so, but what would be the point when every major newspaper has already run the story?
