Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to do battle over Loic Remy as both Premier League sides race for the Frenchman’s signature, reports the Express. Remy had been subject to Liverpool interest at an earlier point in the summer, but now looks most likely to swap Queens Park Rangers for another club in England’s capital city.
Remy had almost completed his move to Anfield when the Reds pulled out of the deal citing problems with the player’s medical examination. Arsenal and Tottenham appear prepared to deal with any fitness concerns, however, as both clubs look for another striker to provide competition within their squads.
Chelsea had also been linked with a late move for Remy this summer, following a suspected ankle injury sustained by Didier Drogba. However, as it was revealed that Drogba would be match-fit quicker than expected, the Blues are thought to be content with having the Ivorian, Diego Costa and Fernando Torres to choose from.
At Arsenal, Remy would be brought in to provide Olivier Giroud with an experienced strike partner. Despite the presence of Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell in the Gunners squad, Arsene Wenger is thought to want a proven Premier League talent as well.
At Spurs, Remy would be drafted in to play alongside a frontline which already includes Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado and Harry Kane. Mauricio Pochettino is yet to make an especially stand-out signing this summer, but Remy would represent a high profile new addition.
There's going to be speculation regarding remy until the window shuts . There always is with good players . Harry says no firm offers and he's confident loic will stay , that will do for me

didnt remy say he will only move to a top 4 club, that would rule out tottingham.
as for the arenholes, they have about 5 strikers on their books gurid, sanchez, campbell, adoma?wallcott, not to mention chamberlin and podolsky who could play in that position.
hot air methinks.
the only danger is a megaclub outside the top4 who could turn remy's head, and thats manchester utd.

Plus Arsenal haven't yet qualified for the Champions League so they won't be bidding until they do....
Harry doesn't help the cause by now saying he will only go to a top 7 club. Before it was champions league, unless Remy is desperate to go and it will speed up the process, enabling us to get a replacement.
A new contract for Remy would be as good as, if not better than any signing we have so far.
