  • Harry Redknapp

He's been given a fair bit of stick since he joined the club. We got relegated, played poor football in the champs, and didn't win the title as many in the media expected.

However, he had to content with a hugely unsettled dressing room full of players who didn't give a stuff about the club, and a lack of talent. With the financial constraints of champs football, he had no choice but to delve into the loan market. Along the way he had huge numbers of rubbish to get rid of, and brought Joey Barton back into the team.

He got us promoted with almost the last kick of the play-off final. I know a lot of people hatred the way we played last season, but he attained his objective: promotion.

During the summer, he must have worked his nuts off identifying new players for the club, and he's brought in some great talent. Not only that, he's brought in a top class coach to assist him.

Now he's assembled his own team, he can kick on with getting the club established in the prem. We may not play classic Rangers football at times, but he'll certainly ensure we won't be pushed around by anyone. The key objective is survival, and if he achieves that, he's done his job.

So this season, let's get behind the manager. No sniping or backbiting, just support him and the team. A unified QPR with the talent we have, should ensure our survival, and begin the long process of establishing us as a good prem league club. Then when we move to our new training complex and stadium, we will have a team we can be proud of.

A successful Harry Redknapp is vital for QPR and our future.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I agree, what he has achieved here in the 18ish months he's been here is exceptional, and I don't think you could expect much more of a manager!
    Good post rich

A successful harry Redknapp would be a manager that lays the foundations for us to be an established premier league club but he certainly is a manager for short term thinking. I think we will need a new manager in 1 or 2 seasons that could be around for a long time. I'd take Malkay Mackay now but it's harry team and he has a right to have the job for a year or 2 but we need to think about the long term project of this football club.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

His signings of young (mainly english) players with lots of potential isn't laying foundations for us to be a successful prem club?

I am happy with the way the club has been run recently, but I think Tony Fernandes and helped Harry with a modern approach. It's not just about Harry and I thought he was poor last season. We were unlucky with injuries but the football was dire. He is still a short term manager and we need to think about the future manager imo.

Richard won't get me to change my opinion on the bloke. I felt what he had last season was allot of luck, I tend to rate a manager on tactics and motivation, and I guess it was 1 out of 2 with regards to that.

Tony will get the business side of the club sorted out, Harry will produce the foundations of a good squad, and Hoddle may well be a ready made replacement for when Harry retires. A smooth transition will be key to long term stability.

Malky Mackay won't be managing in the Premier League again for a very long time!

It's not aimed at changing anyone's opinions, but I strongly feel that now Harry's put together his own team, you'll see a huge change in how we play. Remember, he had to work with mainly the rubbish Hughes brought in.

Never been a real 'Arry fan. Think he failed us in the Premiership. Just when we were looking at hauling ourselves out of trouble he inexplicably changed tactics and personnel and we nosedived. Last season had big turnaround in players but we were painful to watch at times and got bit lucky towards the end. I was one of those who would quite happily have replaced him.

On plus side he did manage to change around the squad considerably, with the help of the board, and over time seemed to sort out the dressing room. That is no mean achievement given the sheer scale of the problems we had.

He has now had a second pre-season and this one has been about evolution as opposed to revolution. It is now his team entirely. I like the profile of the signings we have been making and the building of the team and squad. Whilst I have had misgivings as far as I'm concerned slate wiped clean and looking forward to team kicking on.

This has been a fantastic transfer window for us.

We took our time and everyone has got what they wanted, young hungry players.

If we can get vargas and mcarthy over the line then that should be enough for us.

                            absolutly amazing transfer window.

thanks to harry, tony and the board
