  • Neville and Carragher on QPRs 3-5-2 system

Neville reckons Isla is a top buy from us, one of the best players in the right wing back position. Both agree Dunne was our weak link, not good enough or suited for left sided centre back. They reckon it's a specialist position because you need a left footed centre back which are hard to get these days. Everyone reckons Onuoha should play there but if Neville and Carragher are right then surely Hill would be perfect for that role?

Hill or George Friend? That's maybe why we was linked with him. Good to hear about Isla.

I would have taken Ridgewell on a free all day long. Gone to the US hasn't he?

They werw saying Dunne was useless at distributing forward. Was too slow on the ball and gives the ball away when trying to get it forward with his left foot (which he was forced to do all game)

To be fair the goal wasn't the formation fault, and they only got behind us n the second half when Green made the fantastic save when we were pushing up.

thought that was the best we looked in both deference and attack for years, realy enjoyed the game and could not believe we didnt get a point.

Same big ears. Thought caulker rio and dunne seemed mainly in troubled. I actually thought dunne played very well and looked well up for it.

I wouldn't have been surprised if Hill had been the third centre back Saturday.

Agreed, I thought Dunne was excellent - he wasn't troubled by Hull, and we looked mainly strong in defence, and let's not forget, Hull had two competitive game under their belt already and are a settled team - we had three debutantes, including two in defence, playing a new system. I thought we did bloody well, I too enjoyed the game from a totally new view to me from the School End (quite liked it as it happens), and I think we can only improve from here. Looking forward to Isla slotting in at right wingback as well. I think we're going to do all right this season - i.e. stay up!

I thought this would be a problem for him, but from I sit in the Ellerslie it wasn't. He looked very comfortable and in the first half distributed only with his right foot.

Yeah, because Carragher used to distribute the ball like Hoddle didn't he..... Scouse tw@t.

Dunne was fine on Saturday and the 3 were commanding and comfortable.

They were not putting Dunne down, they were saying that in those positions you must have a left & right footed players in their correct positions.

and Gleen Hoddle having a full weeks training with them aswell can only be good for us.
