Murphy and the dimmer Neville brother are not the worst tv pundits by any means (Murphy is actually quite good if you can forget his Fulham past) but it does grate on me the way ex footballers are still far too cliquey and keen to please their various mates in football. They reckoned QPR would be safe, which is nice. But they also reckoned that Leicester, Palace, Newcastle and Swansea would also be safe. There were probably others as well that they also tipped to be OK. But there wasn't one team they tipped to go down. I know they don't want to offend fans of any club esp so early in the season but I am struggling to see how all those teams can be safe. Think there is a real gap in the market for a pundit who actually told it like it is.

          Keane is quality.

As for Murphy I think he's one of the positives of recent years from MOTD. Keown is decent too imo. They have so many useless pundits its embarrassing especially Savage, Hartson and Kilbane....

Hearing him tip Villa for the drop would be a joy to behold.

Loved the clip of the hammer fan throwing his program on the floor behind Big Sam. It's looked evident for some time that all the new pundits are vying for the regular MOTD job.
