The problem with that Wally Downes Jr article is it perpetuates this idea that "creativity" is something that only comes from some sort of talented no10 rather than through decent teamwork etc.

Fernandes encourages this attitude, as does Redknapp, Sky Sports News, newsnow clickbait made up transfer websites, and so on.

It's why our fans have turned into Chelsea-esque spoiled brats, always screaming out for more players.

Teams with far less natural creativity in their squad have opened teams up far more easily than we have; they were just well coached. Redknapp has been in charge for 60odd games now and I'm yet to see a decent bit of attacking pattern play. Though look out for Arry saying "well we did want the boy Van Der Vaart, but...." the moment we lose a few games in September.

I would prefer 10% fit Adel than 99% of this whole squad fit at 120% . and be sure, if Adel stays he will be again the top QPR scorer and top EPL creative midfield as always.
You were winding people up right!!

If we get Zaha, if, there's a good chance he could bag the 10 shirt and provide the playmaking trickery we may need.

Adel was also 12th that season in "accurate through balls". Bear in mind this is all while playing for one of the worst sides in the division.

Tell you what Geng, that post is spot on. There's so many people in the football world who bang on about the need for this 'number ten role' and forget that creativity can happen anywhere on the pitch. If an opposing team can shut down the 'number ten' how else does a team create?

The team ethos is what counts if you want to win games. Yes, skilful players can and do win games, but ultimately it's a team game which requires the whole team contributing to victory. It's no good having someone who can do flashy step overs if your defence is a shambles and have no one to stick the ball in the net. What's the point in having a player who can do tricks and flicks if you haven't got someone who can win the ball in the first place?

There's too many clichés in football these days, and they're used especially by amateurs thinking they're TV pundits. Number ten, quality, early doors, over the moon, to name but a few.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

ferdinand to caulker ,caulker back to rio , rio to dunne , dunne back to rio , rio to barton , barton back to rio , rio to dunne , dunne hits it long. we don't move the ball quickly enough and yesterday were far to predictable. once we got to the half way line run out of ideas . to much of the play breaks down with simpson . we were worth a draw y'day but luck wasn't with us

I've seldom read such a mixture of the blindingly obvious (many on here have been going on about our lack of creativity for at least six months) and utterly ludicrous. The Adel situation is not a tragedy. One way or another it will get sorted out. A tragedy is what is happening in too many parts of the world right now.

He probably used that emotive word because he shot the footage himself, as a journalist trying to make a name for himself. Not that such a mistake should distract from the main thrust of the article, which you of all people wouldnt want I'm sure.

Strange how people see things look at the stats, we created the most chances out of all the prem team in Saturdays games. It's scoring that's the problem!
