Depends what BS rumours you believe. It was also stated at the time he joined he was on pretty much parity with Green at about £50k / week.

lol, when are people going to realise that players who came to us for the £££ are never, ever, leaving us for a transfer fee

i presume we had to pay off a fair chunk of this deal. doubt cesar would have just written off several million quid. same goes for bosingwa, anton, granero, cisse etc
