  • Is Harry trying to get rid of Remy?

I get the feeling that Harry is trying to push Remy out, he says that he's not been a problem, Liverpool's loss is our gain. worth 20m going very cheap and Remy won't leave a few days before the window shuts as he's a nice guy. Basically I read that into that and he's saying "If you want Remy, come and get him now". He is cheap and for sale, I could be wrong?

He may have been told that if he sells Remy, it will give him more budget for transfers and wages?

That's the beauty of this great world of ours, one statement, a hundred different connotations, but I suspect your version is way off base!

In that line of thinking you could say that he desperately wants to keep Adel as he all but called him a fat lazy lump of shite.. sic.

Don't think so. He also did not indicate that anybody had inquired recently, which means that all of the talk of Spurs and Chelsea is probably wrong.

Borini to Sunderland looks like it is a possibility now so could that free up the money for Liverpool to come back in for Remy at £8.5m if you don't believe the story's about the medical being the reason they didn't take him. If you talk up someone being worth £20m you might be hoping to get a bid from a Tottenham/Newcastle before you have to let him leave on the cheap.

            Just speculation of course.

I think Remy will be gone, I'm not buying into him staying.

I see your point but I don't see him leaving now. I personally wouldn't be surprised if he gets a bumper new contract to keep him. We won't get too many chances to get players like Remy so if possible (new written contract) why sell him
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think possibly 'Arry's grooming him.

Liverpool got 80 million quid for Suarez, they don't need to free up any money to get Remy.

I read it exactly the opposite to you.

Harry having Remy makes his job a LOT LOT easier.

Teams have had their chance to get him. Can't disrupt our plans now days before the season starts. To late. Saying that it would be a good tactic to do exactly that from another club. Can't see it myself.

Deep inside, I think HR wants Remy to stay, because it is unlikely that he could sell Remy and get an equivalent striker with the proceeds.

Cannot believe any manager would want to get rid of a striker he spent so long trying to sign!!
