I am not going to have a barny with you because you're a good poster but I don't know what side of the bed you got out of but your posts today have let you down massively.
I agree about the african french attitude comments but Remy is a proven goal scorer and we're clearly lacking in this department, to lose Remy Will be a massive blow so stop pretending it wouldn't!
I don't think Andros + Kane are worth much more than £5m combined. On an open market Remy would be worth £15-20m (depending on severity of that heart problem). Of course, we're likely to lose him for a lot less, but still - I'd take the £8.5m release fee over Andros + Kane.
Cant sell him for 8.5 million in a closed market but hes worth 15 to 20 in an open one. Ha ha.
I am also getting fed up with threads about Remy, not because I don't feel he will be a loss, but everyday it seems to be a different story. Since the end of the season, he has been going to Arsenal (nothing happened), then to Liverpool which was obviously a possibility but also for some reason didn't happen. Then is was Newcastle when Remy had said on several occasions he didn't want to go there. Now it's Chelsea because they have a player who is injured for a couple of weeks. A player whom they only bought a month ago when they could have gone for Remy. Also there is talk of a swop for Spurs players, which has been mentioned several times in the past.
Apart from Liverpool, have any of these teams actually showed any official interest in signing Remy, or is it just newspaper talk, to fill the paper when they don't have anything else to talk about.
Anyway, back to the original post, I cant be the only one who really really doesnt want this to happen?
Right there with you. Not a swap that works for us.
If Remy really doesn't want to play for us, (and despite wanting to play Champions League football, there's no suggestion he won't put a shift in for us if he stays), then perhaps it's better.
Both Andros and Kane would strengthen QPR, no doubt but losing Remy would be too big a price to pay IMO

I wouldnt mind as much if we ended up signing Sigthorsson, a deal that seems to be back on. But still, Remy scores goals in the Prem so getting rid would be a mistake imo.

For months and months I've read posts about giving youth a chance, good young, hungry English talent. I've also read that HR won't do that, won't have youngsters despite growing evidence to the contrary.
I've read how paying £xxM for certain players is simply a waste and evidence that Harry doesn't have a clue.
Suddenly, when linked with a young, English player that scored in three consecutive EPL games last season, it's the worst possible decision because he is pony, not PL class, too much of a risk etc etc etc.
Before anyone posts a clever dig because I am suggesting we should sign Kane, I'm not. I don't know anywhere near enough about the lad to say whether I think we should sign him/he is/isn't good enough. I'm more making the point that the very same people that say we should take a chance on May/Wells/Other unproven youngsters balk at the idea of bringing in someone who has played a few PL games/scored a few goals and has played for England U17's, 19's and 21's /s. Equally, these sages seem to know for a fact that the kid is rubbish and not good enough or even potentially good enough for us.

Remembering that these "sages" are sitting at their keyboard furiously typing away to vent their frustrations rather than being paid thousands/millions to coach/manage a Premier League team....
I'm not against either of em think they're both decent players n would quite like em, just not in a straight swap for Remy as I feel that would be short changing ourselves.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Yup, and that's why I'd like them to explain how they know he aint good enough but, more importantly, what kind of player they really do want to sign At the moment I get the impression they want a proven 20 goal a season, English born striker that wants to play for us rather than hunt the treasure of the Champions league, must be young and have never played for HR before, but without paying more than a couple of quid in transfer fees/wages

Yeh and according to many on here Hitchcock was the one
If Remy were to go in swap for Townsend +Kane tomorrow we could sell Townsend for 15m+ , if Remy goes Chelsea for 8.5m last knockings we could be stuck with plss poor fee to late to spend
